Why isn't this guy getting ‘probed’ by the Feds? It behooves UC Berkeley to try and cover up, as much as possible, and certainly not to expend much energy trying to identify his cohorts.

My guess - if anything, he gets suspended w/o pay one week. Month at most.

No doubt Free Republic or Trump Reddit as examples of websites. And apparently SFGateUltraExtremeWing used every nasty adjective they have in their arsenal.

emerged on ultraconservative fringe websites

I would characterize the Ralph Retort as a "personal blog" rather than an "ultraconservative fringe website".

It is possible the guy lied about his level of involvement.

Could be. We were discussing one Ian Dabney Miller, the masked thug orchestrating beating up pro-Trump people at U.C. Berkeley, who happens to be a paid staffer at U.C. Berkeley. They were trying to deflect blame away from the campus, saying it wasn’t their students. Yeah, it was staff!

Wow SFGate reports the social media-posting employee is with UC Berkeley’s Development and Alumni Relations group. Apparently, you donate to the university or get a campus beat-down. Stay classy Berkeley.

At least his band will have to fire him. They’ll never get another gig with him in it.

Violation of civil rights, if the state does not defend the victims then the Trump DOJ should step in.

The smartest thing this guy can do is turn himself in and give the Feds everything he knows about this organization. If he knows enough, he may get witness protection. If he doesn’t, his life is basically over.

altercation? They need to study their vocabulary words. An altercation is a noisy argument, not a beating.

This reminds me of the Baltimore government and media still referring to the riots which burned more than 50 businesses as the "unrest."

Trump is right, if you won't even name a problem, it's not likely that you will ever solve it.

I don't expect California to stand up for the rights of the victims - since they were conservatives. The Attorney General and Governor did nothing to protect the rights of the people when Proposition 8 passed - and I think the current Attorney General and Governor lean more to the left than the last guys. As hard as that is to believe.

Hopefully the Feds are warming up in the On-Deck circle.
