Travis county will now look to other means to “raise” money.

I.E. more traffic tickets, fines for minor offenses, etc. But who cares, the lemmings that voted for these idiots deserve it.

I will love seeing that happen. Wonder what that hotshot mayor will say then.

Prediction: This won’t last long and won’t amount to much.

There is a principle in federal tax law that denies tax deductions for violations of any law. A drug dealer can’t deduct any expenses, their entire gross income is taxable. However, enforcing such a ban would require an honest IRS, which is not likely to happen.

fta... will allow people to donate tax-deductible funds to the county...

Texas has no income tax and it’s doubtful that the US Treasury permits tax deductions for go-fund-me contributions.

Just what tax is this guy referring to in his pitch?

I’d like to see them raise those millions privately year after year. The more they pay, the sooner they will learn.

I’m thinking of giving them 2 cents (in a US Postal Money Order). Would cost more to process than it is worth.

The clinton foundation has certainly spawned a lot of copycats. That “fund” will need a very aggressive audit process.

This needs to be just the beginning. Next, elected and appointed officials who openly flaunt the law with their illegal actions need to be arrested and/or removed from office for violating federal law and obstructing justice.

Screw the money. Sanctuary cities harbor ILLEGALS. They are here ILLEGALLY. They are breaking US law. This concept is not rocket science.

Mayors, and governors need to see jail time and fined.

Crowd funding or other campaigns are good for one-time efforts. But they have to create an ongoing revenue stream. Good luck with that.

Travis county will now look to other means to “raise” money.

This will fail. They will need to follow the Venezuela model of obtaining other peoples money.
