Why two years? Has the boss hear about this estimate?

Here’s my bet: If Trump has his guy publicly saying two years, it will be done much sooner, and under budget. We’re no longer being governed by politicians.

On the locked thread, some one suggested President Trump sell Wall Building Bonds and report the daily intake. We will also need seismic equipment as they now dig real deep tunnels to smuggle their dope into the USA.

Nice wall but it would look better with 4 roles of razor wire on top.

Still no mention of land mines...

Won't ever happen either. Landmines are both the lazy man's answer to security and they are SO 20th century. Why pull that stuff that will surely result in needless deaths of innocent people (sorry for calling you Shirley) when there are 21st century devices that can detect and even act to interdict illegal border crossers without bloodshed. Barriers and Hi-Tech will solve our problems. That and the Presidential WILL to accomplish the mission!

Is this an actual photograph of a finished section of the wall? Where is this section actually located? Looking at the size of the trucks at the bottom of the wall, it must be more than 100 feet high. Is that true?

I rfecommend calling for VOLUNTEERS who will go help0 build the wall. There are plenty of people in the USA who would show up just for food. Let them bring their campers—and their personal protection—and sort out who has construction experience, etc.

I say it could be built in less than 2 years.

There is absolutely NO reason for more ‘environmental
reviews’. The funding was voted for in 2006, under G W Bush. Start with those funds& add more from all the $$$ saved by not supporting so many invaders on this side of the border. Like any project-—it gets paid for in ‘percentage of completion’ methods.
We don’t need to prove all the money is handy right up front.

IMO, a call for volunteers would produce an overwhelming response.
Set up military mess tents to feed them.

EVERY sovereign country has control over their BORDERS. There really isn’t much to argue over. The safety of the USA & the actual creating of a BORDER which cannot be breached will beat down any objections that arise. Ranchers are tired of the lack of safety, They won’t argue. If watering stock is a problem, digging a well for those landowners is cheap by comparison to paying out all the benefits for the invaders.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants, according to Thomas Jefferson.

I understand. But that doesn't necessarily include use of land mines. My guess is that the Founding Fathers would condemn the use of land mines based on the uncontrollable nature of the device and would LAUD the High Tech applications to protect the women and children. Because THEIR blood isn't the blood we want watering the Tree of Liberty. That blood would corrupt and kill the tree.

I also understand the logical response of ya can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs! But if that were absolutely true of combat then we'd never have developed precision guided weapons, one of which reasons is to avoid "collateral damage" on the field of battle. So it goes with the Border.

OTOH, no bleeding heart am I. Were I in charge -- MY guidance on the R.O.E. would be to use the night vision and thermal sensors to detect illegal border incursions by the Mexican Army acting as paid soldiers for the cartels and just summarily wipe them out using Apache Gunships without warning. After of course sending the Mexican's notice of such available responses. I would also post flyers and drop pamphlets advising the locals on the other side of the Border that as of such and such date, these measures will be put into full force and effect. Then wait.

I also would not object to individual ranchers or landowners on the American side using deadly force to protect themselves from invaders. Just keep a tally and take pix for later submission to the Border Patrol.
