To some extent, it's like when I was in the military. I was under a duty to obey lawful orders. I was also under a duty to not obey an unlawful order.

I not only could, but had a duty to, disobey what I considered to be an unlawful order.

And I'd better hope like hell that it was determined to be an unlawful order. My dingle-dangle would be dragging in the dirt, just waiting to be stomped on, if I was wrong ...

Yeah, they're choosing a lot of stupid hills to die upon. Not picking their battles very well - anything Trump does is screeched about as a crime-of-the-century. That cry wolf routine should get old after a time.

It’s called insubordination. I know the people in DC are unaware of the term but those of us who live in the real world know.

You'd *think* that executive branch agency employees would be more keenly aware that they serve at the pleasure of the President (with obvious implications if he is displeased). I've met a fair number of fedgov employees who really don't grasp the concept, or believe that there's a huge buffer of bureaucracy between the White House and themselves.

Surprise!

What about Bill Clinton’s Saturday night massacre?
.
Not so much as a kiss-my-backside from the press.

The Obama DOJ was corrupt; when it did not follow the rule of law, when it stonewalled investigations, or failed to investigate that which needed investigating, the WaPo applauded.

Even my birds refuse to crap on the washington pest. Murdering even sick saplings to produce newsprint for the rag is a crime against nature.

The Obama administration lost at least 20 Supreme Court cases in UNANIMOUS decisions. Did the WaPo ever question Obama’s belief in the rule of law?
