Richard Pollock at the Daily Caller offers this flashback one thats not without irony:
Despite todays outrage over President Donald Trumps refugee executive order, many liberals in 1975 were part of a chorus of big name Democrats who refused to accept any Vietnamese refugees when millions were trying to escape South Vietnam as it fell to the communists.
They even opposed orphans.
The chorus was led by Jerry Brown who, then as now, was the governor of California. The no to refugees chorus also included George McGovern, the leading Democratic leftist of the day, and Joe Biden who, then as now, was wrong about nearly everything.
The sharpest opposition came from California and was led by Gov. Brown. Julia Taft, who in 1975 headed up President Fords Inter-agency Task Force on Indochinese refugee resettlement, recalled our biggest problem came from California due to Brown. The eccentric governor even attempted to prevent planes carrying Vietnamese refugees from landing at Travis Air Force Base outside San Francisco.

My, my, sure does not take too much to peel off the veneer of these people and expose their hypocrisy, shallowness, and related things that just take your breath away in some instances.
There are huge differences between then and now.
Then, the refugees were basically peaceful people escaping communism and oppression.
Now, the refugees harbor amongst themselves jihadis who are sworn to destroy anyone who isn’t a member of their sect of Islam. And even the non-jihadis are ill-suited to survive in a Western country, as their actions in Europe make only too clear.
See, this is a *big* difference.
It’s easy to understand the leftie thought process:
Anti-communist refugees = BAD
Anti-American refugees = GOOD
There is no such thing as a liberal who isn’t a hypocrite.
Well said.
