I don’t think she’s talking to me. She had better not be.
"That is not who we are" is a platitude used mostly by scoundrels. Speaker Ryan has used it. It is a cheap way to make an argument when you cannot support your position cogently with facts.
How about we get a look at those 650,000 emails off that illegal server of hers, to see if she shares our values and the constitution of the United States of America.
Phrases that should be retired as of 12/31/16, especially by old, washed-up, crooked pols:

Clearly, since we elected Trump to represent us, this IS “who we are.” The left just doesn’t like it. May I suggest we use some of our tax money to put up street signs directing them to the longest walk off the shortest pier.
As for Hillary - I was perhaps overly optimistic that the creature would slither into some cave somewhere, bathe in virgin’s blood and drink itself to death, but it looks like it simply cannot let go of what it perceives as power. I hope, then, that we see an independent prosecutor look into it’s activities over the last two decades and see if there’s some way we can get it locked up behind bars. It might be that the only way to stifle it is to cage it.
"We" are a nation of laws. A sovereign republic with the right to defend against all threats, foreign and domestic. Trumps order is a first step to address a foreign threat, his win in November stopped a domestic threat.
Nothing done by a government, no law, regulation or policy is all good or all bad. There is always an entire spectrum of people affected; some good, some bad and most just somewhere in the middle.
There was a time when respected employees of the government attempted to make individual value judgements on individual cases. As time went on legal advocacy groups challenged every negative decision and judges determined they were just one man’s opinion and reversed many of them. Eventually, the bureaucracy gave up and turned into a scolding third grade teacher saying, “did you bring gum for everybody Mr. Jones? If you didn’t then spit out yours.”
Hopefully, we are again entering a time where reasonable people can make reasonable decisions based on individual cases. It seems unlikely, though.
