I know you are right, it is tempting tho. I will no doubt err on the side of caution. Thanks for bringing me to my senses. ;-)

Maybe I’m being a little paranoid, but maybe not. Never really recovered an ability to trust certain agencies after that 79 thing. None of those people were from Greensboro, they were all from elsewhere. What a place to do it, Quaker town, legacy of pacifism, stop on the Underground Railroad and all that. This feels the same way, freighted with symbolism. I honestly would avoid it like the plague.

It was one year ago, almost exactly, that the Oregon Standoff ended. And we all remember who called for blood, and how it all ended. Lots of short memories out there.

I don’t know what the laws are in NC, but in my state the Mossberg would be allowed. (Perhaps not welcome though).

California was led down the path to no open carry, and very tough concealed carry permits, (and magazine limits, and purchase limits, etc.) by these types of protests.

The Black Panthers would have their marches and hang out at the Capitol steps carrying their guns. The governor at the time thought that was madness, and with the help of the legislature banned the open carry of firearms.

The governor was Reagan. And the NRA approved.

Here in my state they passed some new gun laws. A bunch of folks showed up at the capital with their lawful open carry of firearms. Hard to believe - but not one person was shot!

"And this is supposed to accomplish what???????"

It just might cause them to understand the full of Nietzsche's words when he said, "Out of Chaos comes order," when none of them survive the "order" that ultimately annihilates them as a result of the "chaos" they release.

...Muhammad also confirmed participants still plan to march with their weapons, reiterating his previous position of the law not applying to the march because it does not fall under the umbrella of picketing, protesting, or parades."

Another narcissist clinging to the belief the law does not apply to him and his band of enlightened ones.

Further proof is that last line in the news release:

In addition to the march, the group has planned a tribunal on Saturday, also at the Creekwood Community Center

Just so I was certain of his intent I looked up the meaning of tribunal.

From https://www.reference.com/government-politics/difference-between-tribunal-court-f6afe8d52fa1b4bc

Tribunals exist in parallel to the traditional court system, but they are not part of it. Tribunals are usually assembled when there is no court with jurisdiction over a specific issue, such as with war crimes. The United Nations frequently appoints tribunals to hear international matters because there is no court that has jurisdiction over world matters.

Another major difference between courts and tribunals is that, with the exception of the members of the Supreme Court, who are appointed, judges are typically elected officials in the United States. Tribunal members are usually appointed as a result of their knowledge or experience with the issue that the tribunal is attempting to resolve. Judges, by contrast, are individuals with general knowledge about the law. Tribunals are faster, less expensive options to a traditional judge and jury trial because they do not involve a jury selection process. Rather, a tribunal acts as both judge and jury in a tribunal proceeding. A tribunal is typically a panel of people, although it does not have to be so by definition

They are the tribunal because they are the experts in black deaths involving criminal events.

They concocted a big crap stew with a redolence of sharia.

It shouldn't surprise anybody it's a leftist three way.

Having just been beaten at the democratic process, the left will turn to violence and civil disorder...

If it’s like the Greensboro thing I keep returning to, they’ll manage to discredit more than one “outré” group in one fell swoop. In 79, they managed to pretty much kill off the Klan, the commie protest groups emanating from Duke primarily, union agitators and slimed the textile industry as being in cahoots with the Klan.

They applied for the permit at the end of December, so if they follow the rules, no problem.

There might be a problem if the libs in NC decide they’re too afraid of armed blacks marching through the streets. Then it will be time to make some popcorn.

F18’s would be categorically wrong for the mission.
They fly too fast for a mission in such a confined area.
A10’s.

As long as they march around that neighborhood I’m fairly certain no one will notice or care.

Yep. It’s in their DNA. They can’t help but be racist and violent.

Hmm ... the law seems to indicate that even if marching for 2nd amendment rights your not allowed to do so without advanced approval.

Did they even bother to make the request?

According to Muhammad, the Wilmington chapter of the Revolutionary Black Panther Party was formed in 2015 and has 14 members.

I found this funny

I would not go simply because I do not play the enemies game. As long as they stay in their territory and kill each other off, fine. Just wait until they come to you and they will. They will be over confident also. Then you lower the boom on them and wipe them out.

“Events Occurring In Public Places
North Carolina law further makes it unlawful for any person participating in, affiliated with,or present as a spectator at any parade, funeral procession, picket line, or demonstration upon any public place, owned or under the control of the State of North Carolina, or any of its political subdivisions, to willfully or intentionally possess, or have immediate access to any dangerous
weapon. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-277.2. Persons exempted from the provisions of N.C. Gen. Stat. §14-269(b) are not bound by this prohibition. These persons are set forth in Paragraph III. A. of this publication.
This prohibition also does not apply to the concealed carry of a handgun at a parade or funeral procession by a person with a valid permit to carry a concealed handgun, or by someone who is exempt from obtaining a permit pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-415.25. However, no person, irrespective of a permit or ability to carry without a permit, may carry a concealed handgun on any premises where the person in legal possession or control has posted a
conspicuous notice prohibiting the carrying of a concealed handgun. “
