Thanks to MSM for highlighting a major issue with voter registration.

Trump has skills. Grabs the ball thrown at his head by the enemedia, tosses it in the air, swings and blasts it over the LEFT-field fence. And it's only the first inning!

Same in NYS, you can get the list via CD and it should be easy to compare, but it doesn’t happen.

Good to know. I am guessing the CD is available at fairly nominal cost, right? These records usually cover the inflated cost of the clerk’s time in pulling them and making them, around $40 or so.

The Post Office already has everybody's current address and updates it constantly. Bulk mailers interrogate the NCOA database before every mailing to minimize waste mailings. It seems like the least reasonable next step would be to compel State elections boards to square their voter addresses with the voter mailing address.

I think you’re confusing the requirement that people had to own property before they could vote with owning property giving you the right to vote even if you don’t reside in the district.

Show me some historical evidence that non-resident property owners once had the right to vote...anywhere.

And, no, I would not be arguing your position.

It seems like the least reasonable next step would be to compel State elections boards to square their voter addresses with the voter mailing address.

Since each State is responsible for her elections, it seems reasonable that each State Board of Election would WANT to comply with this voluntarily.

(Yes, I'm dreaming. Many State elections board heads are Dims. Each State must drain its own low-lying damp areas.)

Not confusing anything. IN MY OPINION if you own property you get to vote, otherwise it is taxation without representation. From a common good point of view people who own property somewhere you have a vested interest. Your opinion is different. So what?

Since I have lived in 4 different states after becoming naturalized US citizen, I am probably still registered to vote in all 4 states. But since I abide by the laws, I have voted only once in each election.

Bust what would stop an unscrupulous voter from casting multiple votes? This is especially easy to do if the state allows absentee ballots or vote by mail only such as in WA state.

But I have even bigger concerns. I became US citizen at age 30, and have voted in dozens of elections from 4 different states. Yet, no one has ever asked me to show my certificate of Naturalization. They simply took my word that I was a US citizen. How bad is that???
