LANSING, Mich. — Flint's water system no longer has levels of lead exceeding the federal limit, a key finding that Michigan state environmental officials said Tuesday is good news for a city whose 100,000 residents have been grappling with the man-made water crisis.

I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth.

New president calls for good news coming from places from which you never saw it coming. :-)

Here is an image from Mother Jones, that bastion of conservative though, outlining lead levels in Flint:

Perhaps the possibility that the laboratory that found the original results might be investigated caused a reevaluation of methodology and a do-over of the test.

All the corruption and sediment has to flush out sometime. Given enough time, just about every “bad” situation would come to some degree of correction. Even without additional taxes and regulation, most of which have no appreciable effect anyway.

Maybe people will adapt to the heightened levels of lead ions in their water. That way, when levels do rise, they shall not be negatively affected. In fact, a lead deficiency may impact their health.

This was, to be honest, a very serious story to me from the beginning because lead poisoning makes you stupid. Literally. And an entire population center had been adversely affected.

But I was just having fun with the timing. ;-)

The federal limits are just wildly extrapolated (mostly from junkscience to be more precise) “safe” values. Exceeding them doesn’t mean you are poisonned, it just mean you may be possibly slightly harmed according to some bureaucrat’s belief. Of course, don’t count on the ignorant alarmosphere to tell you that simple & established fact.
Nobody in Flint has been poisonned by lead.

OMG!!! How is that possible possible? Flint has not had time to receive and process/spend the $170 million the Federal Congress didn’t allocate to Flint until just this past December. The money was sold as necessary to solve the problem in Flint.

I think the real story is NBC is afraid Trump might use the money that Obama tried to send to Palestine at the last minute to instead fix the Flint water system.
