What you mention about selling a private gun at a gun show is part of the basis of the leftist lie. Yes, it can occur, but it is no different than putting an ad in the ‘Thrifty Nickel’, then meeting at the McDonald’s parking lot to do the exchange to do a private transfer.

The gunshow is just the location where it is done, but it is NOT part of the show itself. And rather than taking an ad out in the ‘trader’ paper, the advertising is wandering around the parking lot (or sometimes inside the show) with a “for sale sign” on the gun.

If I remember my ATF regulations correctly, it is legal to do private transfers like that three times per year. Any more, and you are required to get an FFL.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. How will they ever enforce such a law?

Yes, the grabbers lie by omission there.

Maybe they’ll pass another law making it illegal not to obey this law.

Nevada overturned it somehow saying they could not enforce it and in truth; how can any state enforce it? How can they possibly stop two people from having a private transaction? This of course is why they want us to register our guns so they can keep track of them and come after us.

I absolutely hate gun grabbers. Instead of going after those who commit crimes using guns they go after us everyday people who never use a firearm in the commission of a crime. They are a vile joyless people.

What bothers me the most, is when republican governor Martinez was asked about this bill, her spokesman said her position hasn’t changed. That means, if I understand it correctly, is that she would sign it into law. There previously was an almost identical bill that never made it out of committee, but she said she would sign it. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

This was a major turning point for many republicans I know who had supported her. Before ever getting elected, she had promised to not give an inch to the anti-gun crowd. THAT was maybe her biggest selling point that got her elected over some other decent candidates.

New Mexico continues to draw many libtards from out of state. This legislation is being pushed by Bloomberg.

>How can they possibly stop two people from having a private transaction?

A: The same way you can force 2 private parties to partake in a transaction (aka O’Care)...just do the OPPOSITE?

Kidding aside, you can direct the same people to the failures of Prohibition, drugs, etc....don’t hold your breath for the night-light to come on upstairs.
