CDC is a money pit. And like universities they stage research that isn’t really research due to confirmation bias in order to get the bucks.
It is FAR more important than saving a few direct dollars for the meeting. This begins to kill the snowball rolling down the hill effect that has been gathering for 30+ years. Stop all these confabs at luxurious settings, shut down all government “science” labs studying this, and end all government support for graduate students on climate and the problem will begin to go away.

The CDC is attempting to make the link between warming weather and tropical diseases. What the CDC should be doing is fighting the importation of used tires which carry mosquito larvate and the use of DDT to get rid of them. Don’t get me started with the CDC acquiescing to letting illegals with tuberculosis and other rare tropical diseases into America unchecked. The CDC is infested with bureaucratic hacks.
Replace it with a conference to discuss best way to save millions of lives by the resumption if DDT spraying to combat Malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.
All climate-related activities should cease.
This is just the beginning... won’t stop until some key climate fraudsters are in jail.
All Trump has to say is “WE ARE 100% AGAINST POLLUTION” and we can use that “climate change conference” money better on pollution enforcement.
Next thing you know the Centers for Disease Control will actually go back to controlling disease.
Evidence being manufactured by million$ in government grants.

Local brothels, pimps, drug dealers, strip clubs, and liquor venues must be enormously disappointed at the loss of potential revenue such a “conference” brings along with it.
THe Climate Change boondoggle halt will save money for all agencies. Obama built funding into all agencies or more importantly had them redirect money from existing programs.
Academia will see their grant money slow for a lot of progressive issues like Climate Changes and many SJW activities. Green energy, except for legitimate scientific study as an overall energy research program should be halted as well.
Even assuming that “climate change” or “global warming” existed, were caused by mankind, were “bad for the Erf” and could be prevented by altering our behavior (exactly NONE of which I believe), WTF does the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have to do with it????

I think it was more expense related. Every cabinet nominee who should speak to climate change has agreed that climate change is occurring. I believe one has even acknowledged a human component. None have said the human cause is the significant issue.
I watched one female scientist who’d been shunned on one of the shows last week. She said she doesn’t deny climate change or a bit of a human component.
So, she said, that placed her in the so-called “98%” who accept climate change with a human component.
However, she said the issue is HOW LARGE is the human component. She’s been blackballed because she is on record stating that’s far from an answered question yet.
Not only do they require you believe, they also want the correct doctrine, and they want the doctrine believed down to the smallest teaching.
The warmist religion truly is a religion.
Maybe the CDC will begin trying to figure out how to quickly and accurately determine if any immigrant has multidrug resistant TB BEFORE they are let loose into the community.
I do not understand why we Americans are so resistant having a robust public health system.
