I had a friend who was fired for not sending his students to assembly to watch Zero get sworn in.

Perhaps the schools are attempting to shield these darling snowflakes from the hatred, racism, violence and general stupidity that will be on full display by the leftists and brainless agitators that have been bussed in to protest.

I’m surprised that ANY school would allow their teachers or students to watch it.
Well, maybe Hillsdale College could be expected to allow it.

The last paragraph makes the catastrophic assumption that all republicans are conservative.
I was fooled for 28 years. From 1988 till this year.
No, 2nddivisionvet woke me up to the fact when I joined 2 years ago. :)

Parents, if possible, should keep their kids home Friday.

When I was in the fifth grade our teach, who was also the principal and taught fifth and sixth grades in the same room, put his TV in the window of his house and we all sat on his front line and watched the World Series.

Any teacher who tried that with my kids would get their ass kicked !
This Friday is the most momentous day in American history since the 1860s

I remember 7th grade, the social studies teacher wheeled in a TV for the Nixon impeachment hearings with a pleased smile. He was so happy.
My take on it back then was "Wow, so much nitpicking. Our government must be so incredibly ethical that the slightest wrong doing must be exhaustively investigated."

My schoolteacher brought a TV to class and we watched the JFK inauguration, end-to-end.
It's how I learned what "inauguration" is, among other things.

Items 2 and 3 seem legitimate, it’s the first one that raises questions. In my day, we all watched the inauguration ceremony as an exercise in civics.

Soon after the Terrorist in Chief came into office, he sent out a work packet for students to do on his life. Our school district left it up to the teachers if they wanted to participate or not. No one did.
Hope the school brings in counselors to help with the kiddies who faint from horror at the sight of a real man being sworn into office.
