Good. No more bowing down to the radical racial dividers. We finally have a statesman instead of a politician. Finally, a light at the end of a long tunnel in which we have been living, cut off from reality, contact with others who think like we do and hopeless in the world. Thank God almighty we are about to break out into the light and freedom again.

We are no longer slaves under tunnel vision taskmasters trying to force their will upon us, force their thoughts into our heads and control everything we do, everything we buy, where we wish to live, how we practice our religion (if they disagree with it) and how we shoot our guns.

Thank God almighty, we are free at last. Everybody sing, "We shall overcome....."

The only constitutional federal interference regarding assemblage is in the 14th Amendment authorizing the feds to strike down state segregation laws ( “equal protection”). All other federal interference in state laws (forced integration), business (quotas, etc.) or individual choice is unconstitutional.

I don’t suppose it occurred to any of these genius’
that maybe he decided to go at another time when his
security would not play hell with other peoples enjoyment
on MLK day.

You agree with me. Thank you.

The rest of your response was non-sequitar.

There were probably threats on his life after he confronted the racist Lewis.

I just don’t understand the daily self flagellation and worshiping of this man. He was a man, who, like Obama read well in front of a crowd. If he were alive today he would be marching in front of the BLM movement and rabble rousing along side Al and Jesse.

I was there in 2005.

I was somewhat shocked to see, when I came up from the subway, that it looked like any large chunk of poorly kept grass that you would find at a park after it rained too much, and the buildings around it looked kind of like any standard structure you would find in a medium-sized city.

If true, then good for him. I’m relieved and glad that we finally, finally have a president who won’t be held hostage by political correctness, and particularly the black leftist agenda.

... commemorate the civil rights leader in some other way ...

Good idea. He could do a fireside chat radio address: Play a clip of MLK's words re judging by content of character rather than skin color, and suggest that current black leadership reread those words over & over again until they finally understand them.

In Maine Governor LePage had the same p!ssing contest with the NAACP here. He told them to pound sand.

When it was time for the annual traditional talk to the group, he knew they were set up to ambush him, so he cancelled it.

“How can he do that!” the press screamed.

It was easy, he just did it.

Got elected twice, despite lefties outspending him by buckets, to boot.

Sounds fake. He brags about “getting to work”. A day at a museum is not necessarily “getting to work”.
