MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico must be ready to respond immediately with its own tax measures if the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump imposes a border tax, the economy minister said on Friday, warning such protectionism may trigger a global recession.
Trump, who takes office on Jan. 20, has promised a "major border tax" on companies that shift jobs outside the United States, and such a measure could hobble Mexico's exports to its top trading partner.
"It is clear we need to be prepared to immediately neutralize the impact of such a measure," Economy Minister Ildefonso Guajardo said in an interview on Mexican television.

It has been clear to me for a very long time that the ultimate solution to the Mexican border issue is an actual war against Mexico. For many different reasons, this is the best solution.
Really? Really macho words from a country whose peso is in the toilet. Where would they be if we start shipping hundreds of thousands of mestizos back to Mexico? How about a ban on wire transfers from our banks and credit unions to Mexico? And of course, we could shut down the billions in foreign aid we still send to Mexico.

Mexico has no idea of what can be stopped. Remittances by illegals in this country to Mexico are NOT controlled by a bunch of petty politicians there.
I’m just racking my brain, but I am drawing a complete blank on what Mexico could POSSIBLY do to us in any way. Can ANYONE point out what they could possibly do??
