Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) responded to an attack from President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday by urging Democrats in a fundraising email to stand up to Trump.
“Today Donald Trump attacked me on Twitter. He said that I’m ‘all talk’ and ‘no action,’” Lewis wrote in the letter from the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
“I’ve been beaten, bloody, tear-gassed, fighting for what’s right for America. I’ve marched at Selma with Dr. King. Sometimes that’s what it takes to move our country in the right direction," the letter continued.

and would call Lewis out as a racist pimp
who used his position to destroy cities.
I park his civil rights claims right next to the multi-stadium capacity number of folks who claim they were at that big game we’re all talking about at someone’s social event.
I’ve never been comfortable with Jessie Jackson’s claims, but he made a career out of it.
This guy wants immunity from criticism.

John Lewis: Civil Rights Icon … and a Liar
According to the Left-Wing McClatchy Newspaper “reporter” William Douglas in an article on Saturday; Tea Partiers repeatedly screamed the N-word at John Lewis (D-GA) as he crossed over to the Capitol on his way to vote for Obamacare.Unfortunately for William Douglas, the incident was caught on video, conclusively proving otherwise. Let’s be blunt; John Lewis is a liar. He claimed the N-word was “shouted” over and over at him and yet no camera among the many there has caught anything of the sort. In other words, there is no doubt about it; he was and is lying straight through his teeth. As so is McClatchy’s William Douglas who filed the story, no doubt knowing full-well that it was false.
Ralph Abernathy told the truth about those clowns.
I can imagine what he said, but I don’t remember his comments now.
Every person who currently gives a damm about these frauds already gives a damn. They will not bring any knew followers on board. They have peaked.
I'm not one who is offended by Trump's tweets. But it might be a better strategy for Trump to just ignore this particular sacred cow.

I’m sure that he will share or donate all of his fund raising results with his poor black voters in the district where he probably doesn’t live anymore.

Jessie was the finger man for the MLK assassination, Judas as it were. He then teed off the King family by smearing blood on his clothes and wearing them for days afterwards. Jackson and Sharpton have always been posers. Lewis, he is just a really old man with half of his brains gone from “old timers” disease.
Then we get 4 years of the sacred cow attacking on a daily basis.
Lewis and Cummings proving once again how far removed they are from the concepts of Dr. Martin Luther King, and once again proving their irrelevance.
This is a primary example of an ‘Uncle Tom’ black man. They whistle for him and he kinda lame walks in mumbling. His masters tell him to beg, he begs. They tell him to bark and he barks.
Only his masters are the Black Congressional Caucus. They have their very own ‘Uncle Tom’.
Trump needs to keep it firm, steady and resolute. Attacking the Congressman’s district was a good response. I say keep that up and start spouting criminal, foodstamp, welfare, black on black crime just every other day.
