Could it be a precursor to privatising the VA. This has been alluded to Trump thinking on the matter. This jerk with his background might be a good choice if this is the case.

Still, I have to agree that it is a disappointment.

Republicans may vote this one down in congress. Trump better have another pick in his back pocket ready to go. Better yet once Trump gets an ear-full he may back out. We’ll see.

I think he's still looking for an Agriculture secretary, isn't he?

I heard his top pick was Fred Ziffel.

“Not a veteran. I don’t think that will go over very well.”

It does not go over well with this one.

“RFK Jr. as Vaccine Czar”

Keep spreading that fake news. He met with Gore too so I guess Gore is almost his Climate Czar.

I have no clue what the play is, but perhaps this is a way to shut down the VA and replace it along with all its staff.

Maybe he needs someone in a visible position who he can fire?

Just some guesses.

Why wasn’t Scott Brown considered? I thought he actually wanted the position.

The guy is a hospital administrator from the private sector. He knows and understands budgets, personnel and how “private” hospitals run. If you want to move away from a government run entity who better than someone who is a private sector admin who got to see the fustercluck going on in the VA?

It’s a good choice. Trump knows what he is looking for.

He was previously was the chief executive of many hospital systems.

Isn't that some of what we've all been looking for in the VA?

Trump has made exclusive promises with respect to the receipt and care of our vets. I'm willing to trust this call. If it doesn't fly, then I expect hell itself to come forward.

Any Obama appointee is a very liberal pro abortion, sodomite-loving democrat. Trump could have left the toothpaste salesman in charge until he found a qualified republican nominee. But he plays politics with vets by trying to make the dems happy by doing nothing about the VA mess.

Not a veteran. I don’t think that will go over very well.

Yeah, since the veterans who have been in charge have done such a great job.

I think the prudent course of action would be to wait and see how this turd works out. I’ve got a lot of faith in Trump’s judgement and instincts.

Hope you’re wrong, but we’ll see.
