The Popular Front.

“He’s sitting over there.”

All: “Splitter!”

Odd. I tried to post that on Facebook and there is a huge question mark where Trump’s face is.

>> “Opening up China was reasoned.” <<

Opening up China was insane!

Red China was totally on the ropes and going down, and Nixon pulled their fat out of the fire.

It is one of the worst betrayals of the nation by a president in our history.

Yep, Mrs. K51 and I found this out the hard way. We were not ready to have that talk with our 10-year-old, but we had to.

There are two periods associated with opening up China.

There was the period from 1973 to roughly 1992, and the period since 1992.

Nixon/Kissinger opened up China, but they did so because China was a nuclear power and it was a closed society. We needed to know what their thoughts were in real time, not 60 to 90 days later. It did not serve our interests to have China be a closed society in the middle of a Cold War with Russia. Would China jump in with Russia if a war started out with Russia? We didn’t know.

Developing a communications line with them, was not only reasoned, it was necessary.

Trade with China didn’t go south for twenty years after Nixon/Kissinger opened a line of communication with China.

Trying to blame them for the destruction twenty years later is like trying to blame Reagan for Obama.

Exactly! Nixon legitimized the world’s biggest murderer and aided a communist regime that was completely isolated and destined to fall.

Nixon was the worst president in modern history, and that and nothing to do with Watergate. He established the Imperial Presidency and set the stage for the decades of tyranny hat have followed. His resurrection as a diplomat has been driven by the Left’s appreciation of his propping up the communist regime.

Nixon and Kissinger went to China to set up a wealth transfer to prop them up.

The masses were ready to revolt, and had sent messages to Taiwan seeking help.

It was perfect, and Nixon succeeded in making caca out of an ice cream sunday.

That wealth transfer didn’t happen for close to twenty years.

During that twenty years the unhappy folks in China were plenty capable of pulling off anything they wanted.

Please understand that.

They literally carried the dough in suitcases.

Okay. Thanks for the information.

Nixon/Kissinger carried in enough money in suitcases that it prevented 1.2 billion people from going Western.

I wonder what “fun facts” about President Trump they came up with?

Thanks.

So there was this big transfer of wealth, and then 17 years of no pay-back.

Sounds like a great plan.

The tee shirts and undies that destroyed our textile industry were the “pay-back.”

Could you explain how that paid anyone back?

For us to fork over that much cash, what did we gain for it? Nothing?

Businesses did move production to China, but where they paying higher or lower taxes to the U.S.?

What could be the reasoning? Rockefellers?

What would be the payback for them?

U.S., what would be the payback to the nation?

What’s your reasoning on this?

Its not personal D-1.

As someone who had voted for Nixon, I felt tremendous shame over the chain of bloody events that were the consequence of Nixon’s Chinese vacation.
