Over a month ago you might remember seeing various MSM outlets pushing a storyline about a former *interim* CIA Director, Mike Morell, calling Russian interference into the 2016 election: “the political equivalent of 9-11“.
Today he claims if Trump doesn’t agree with John Brennan’s political construct to blame Russia for hacking the DNC, well, “spys will no longer spy for us“…

I’m tired of hearing excuses from the neocons and their allies in the Dem Party. I really don’t care why they think they lost the election.
Morell wrote this troubling piece, excerpted from The New York Times:
"Mr. Trump has also undermined security with his call for barring Muslims from entering the country. This position, which so clearly contradicts the foundational values of our nation, plays into the hands of the jihadist narrative that our fight against terrorism is a war between religions.
"In fact, many Muslim Americans play critical roles in protecting our country, including the man, whom I cannot identify, who ran the C.I.A.’s Counterterrorism Center for nearly a decade and who I believe is most responsible for keeping America safe since the Sept. 11 attacks."

Certainly agree with your first paragraph except “...making it a federal crime for the media to help a candidate.” That only because that is a very nebulous area, like lying by commission and lying by omission. In theory, dishonest, but how to structure the offense?
I’m yet persuaded about the Russian involvement. I’ve always thought that they were too heavy handed for some task like that. Hacking the DNC, Hillary and Podesta, yes but it seems they were only the direct or probable indirect messenger and the DEMs are just trying to kill the messenger because they don’t like the truth of the message
So go spy for someone else.
