Was Friday's declassified report claiming Russian hacking of the 2016 election rigged?
Fox News - Opinion ^ | January 07, 2017 | Fred Fleitz

Posted on 01/07/2017 5:05:12 PM PST by Texas Fossil

Friday night, during her last show on Fox News, Megyn Kelly asked former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra whether he accepted the conclusion by 17 intelligence agencies in a recently released declassified report that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election and that this interference came at the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Hoekstra gave an answer many viewers of "The Kelly File" did not anticipate. He noted that the declassified report represents the views of only three intelligence agencies, not seventeen. Hoekstra also questioned why the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) did not co-author or clear the report and why it lacked dissenting views.

The declassified report issued on January 6 is an abridged version of a longer report ordered by President Obama that concluded Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a campaign to undermine the 2016 president election, hurt Hillary’s candidacy and promote Donald Trump through cyber warfare, social media and the state-owned Russia cable channel RT. Although the report’s authors said they have high confidence in most of these conclusions, they were unable to include any evidence for classification reasons.

As someone who worked in the intelligence field for 25 years, I share Congressman Hoekstra’s concerns about Friday’s declassified Russia report and a similar Joint DHS and ODNI Election Security Statement released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and DHS on October 7, 2016.

This is a small excerpt of the article. To begin to understand the article will require reading the entire article.

Nobody sane really believes what has been said the Obama's minions concerning Russian Hacking of anything.

NOBODY SANE.

Now that does not apply to the ComDem plotters, MSM "fake news" Liars and the Paid Press-titutes.

I see so much promise in Trumps nominees that I am absolutely looking forward to 2017. And if we are truly blessed by God, it will be a year when Daylight Disinfectant hits DC with both barrels.

God Bless the "United States" of America Again.

Sad to say as an American, but given a choice between believing obama and believing Putin, I’d go with Putin.

Sign of the times.

Chairman Pete Hoekstra:

I also suspect the entire purpose of this report and its timing was to provide President Obama with a supposedly objective intelligence report on Russian interference in the 2016 election that the president could release before he left office to undermine the legitimacy of Trump’s election.

It is indeed clear what the “intent” actually was.

I do not believe hacking the dnc is equivalent to hacking the election.

hacking

Has anybody taken the trouble to determine what "hacking" means in this context?

Did the US interfere with the Israeli national election by sending US operatives into Israel?

THE ONLY PROBLEM ...

The declassified report was originally created in 2012 and dealt with the OBAMA/CLINTON Primary.

WTH?… Intelligence Report that Claims Russia was Behind Trump Win Was Based on Intel from 2012...

It is not. But I don’t believe the DNC was hacked by anyone. I believe it was an inside job.

Now Podesta’s e-mails were not even hacked, it was compromised by a phishing exploit. Not hacked. Required very little skill to do.

especially, as you note, if someone on the inside is responsible for the leak.

we’ll probably never know for certain, b/c that person is probably....well....no longer able to come forward

https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/5mm2k6/i_allege_that_after_the_dnc_learned_of_a_leak_and/

I found this interesting post on Reddit The_Donald:

June 12: Assange announces forthcoming Hillary-related emails.

http://www.itv.com/news/update/2016-06-12/assange-on-peston-on-sunday-more-clinton-leaks-to-come/

June 14: DNC says they were hacked by the Russians who targeted Trump opposition research.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/russian-government-hackers-penetrated-dnc-stole-opposition-research-on-trump/2016/06/14/cf006cb4-316e-11e6-8ff7-7b6c1998b7a0_story.html

June 15: ‘Guccifer 2.0’ materializes, claiming to be a lone Romanian
hacker responsible for DNC breach. Releases Trump oppo file (to Gawker, thesmokinggun, and The Hill) and additional files; says passed rest to Wikileaks. Leaves clues pointing to Russia. Assange, who says he doesn’t know this supposed hacker, thinks suspiciously too many clues.

https://guccifer2.wordpress.com/2016/06/15/dnc/

Some would have you believe ‘Guccifer 2.0’ is a shoddy Russian attempt to cover up their alleged DNC breach as the work of a lone non-Russian actor. I think it might actually be a DNC/Obama admin attempt to conceal what may have been an inside job, blame Russia for an alleged breach, blame Russia for forthcoming Wikileaks releases, link this alleged breach and the forthcoming Wikileaks releases together, divert attention from the content of the emails, and preempt Wikileaks with negative Trump information.

I think this little timeline is highly suspicious. DNC never mentioned alleged Russian hacking until Assange announced upcoming HRC-related emails.

The claim that ‘Guccifer 2.0’ is Russia could simply be based on a few purposely left clues. The claim that ‘Guccifer 2.0’ relayed DNC material to Wikileaks could simply be that ‘G2’ sent the Trump oppo file to WL in addition to Gawker, The Hill, etc.

Note: An October Esquire profile of CrowdStrike cofounder, Dmitri Alperovitch (a Russian expat btw), explains that he talked to WaPo in June at the behest of the DNC who wanted to use Russian hacking story to hurt Donald Trump: http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a49902/the-russian-emigre-leading-the-fight-to-protect-america/)
Trump accused the Democrats of being behind ‘Guccifer 2.0’ the very day the supposed hacker materialized!!! http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/283693-trump-accuses-dnc-of-lying-about-hack-leaking-oppo

Assange has hinted that both ‘Guccifer 2.0’ and DCLeaks are false flag operations to blame the Russians: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6qlc3lStM4&t=18m (18 minute mark)

EDIT:
Look at this! A few days ago, CrowdStrike cofounder and CTO, Dmitri Alperovitch, tried to call Assange’s honesty about sources into question by retweeting the following “point,” which I’ll paraphrase:
In G2’s original blog post on June 15, G2 claimed to have sent DNC material to Wikileaks. About three weeks later, Wikileaks released DNC emails.

http://i.imgur.com/CcMtBRT.jpg

http://archive.is/1qGeZ

http://archive.is/pyniz

But Assange announced forthcoming HRC-related emails on June 12, THREE DAYS BEFORE G2 materialized out of thin air on June 15!!!

http://www.itv.com/news/update/2016-06-12/assange-on-peston-on-sunday-more-clinton-leaks-to-come/

The DNC and CrowdStrike should be investigated.

That is possible.

But on the other hand, when Humma and Weiner begin to comply with investigation, that might not be a problem.

In my opinion the ones who should be toast are Leon Panetta, Brennan, and Clapper. But that is not the tip of the iceberg.

Think about the embedded Muslim Brotherhood (terrorists) agents and the CZARS (according to past Judicial Watch study there were 45).

We are looking at a huge surgical operation.

I agree. As a veteran of D.C. “ rigged” means nothing to me beyond politics. As usual. Thus, the need to drain the swamp, including the media corner of that swamp.

Likewise, I believe any reasonably objective person would have to admit that Obama has done far more damage to our country than Putin has over the last eight years.

The mistrust of the entire mainstream news media in this country has never been more prevalent. Unfortunately however, there are still millions of people who are simply incapable of disbelieving anything they hear on the nightly news. The power of propaganda is enormous.

Hillary Clinton generates events to support her narrative.

Clinton accused Trump of creating an atmosphere of violence at his rallies. To support the narrative people were paid to instigate trouble at Trump rallies.

Clinton accused Russians of hacking. To support the narrative Crowdstrike was paid to say the Russians hacked. (Ignore what’s behind the curtain: her friend funding CrowdStrike to the tune of $100M)
