Texas Transgender Bathroom Bill Triggers National Speculation

The transgender bathroom battle is being hit straight-on in the Lone Star State. A state senator has pre-filed a bill which she says “seeks to put an end to a controversy that began in Washington D.C.”

National media outlets are already speculating on whether the fight will be similar to the one in North Carolina.

Texas State Senator Lois W. Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) filed Senate Bill 6, the “Texas Privacy Act” which she says is “a bid to address the personal privacy concerns of many Texans.” Kolkhorst called herself “a longtime privacy advocate” and added, “This bill is written not to begin a controversy, but to end one.”

The law, if passed, would enhance the penalties for “a litany of crimes committed in a bathroom against any individual, regardless of their sex or gender identity.”

Texas needs to poach 10 million German, French, Swedish, Italian, Greek etc patriots to expand our tribe. Let Europe Cloward-Piven themselves to death, as is California.

Did you know every earthling could be plopped into Texas and still have 10X10yards elbow-room?

the bill is unique to Texas in that it also enhances the penalties for a litany of crimes committed in a bathroom against any individual, regardless of their sex or gender identity

If I understand the article correctly, the bill would allow school districts, private business, local governments, etc., to set their own policies regarding mixed-sex bathroom use. The "kicker," so to speak, is that if crimes are committed in the bathroom, either by same-sex or opposite-sex parties, the crimes would be taken more seriously than hitherto.

I wonder if the "litany of crimes committed in a bathroom" includes indecent exposure. One of the arguments for single-sex facilities is that girls and young women should not be forced to view the dinglebobs of males (older women not giving a flying FReep, because really).

Females, in the stall, cannot run from danger, as their skirts, pants, shorts are down and immobilizing their legs when attacked, unlike men who only have a fly unzipped.

If you, as a ‘zipper’, attack a Texas female in the restroom, your advantage will incur extra legal address.

Why are they allowing local governments to “set their own policies” about this?

Assuming that I correctly understood this to be a feature of the proposed legislation, it could be because the Senator believes the state legislature should not set policy for every local jurisdiction.

Or it could be that she is concerned that a state override would result in a massive sewage explosion from local governments and individuals who are gaga over the need for men to go in the women's bathroom.

That is good, I guess, although one might ask whether assault in the public bathroom is objectively worse than assault in the street, the hall, the storeroom, the home.

And wouldn't the woman in the vulnerable position have the door latched, for a multi-unit facility, or locked in a single-seat establishment?

Yes just a long as you don’t P all over the seat. My wife followed a manly looking woman in the bathroom and sure enough the seat was covered in urine after heshe was done. Pretty disgusting and one of the reasons for separate bathrooms.

How many men want our wives, daughters, girlfriends, or mothers to have to sit in some guys urine because it is his “right” to pretend to be a woman?
