Obamacare Repeal Budget Resolution Passes Senate With 51 Votes

Senate Republicans passed a budget resolution on Wednesday that would repeal parts of the Affordable Care Act.

The resolution, which used the reconciliation process to repeal elements of Obamacare with only 51 votes, was introduced Tuesday by Sen. Mike Enzi (R., Wyo.), the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.

Republicans are using the reconciliation process to “fast-track” repeal and send legislation to President-elect Donald Trump’s desk as soon as possible. The budget resolution would require $1 billion in deficit reduction over the next decade and reserves funds for a replacement health care reform plan.

“Make no mistake about it, we’re going to keep our promise to the American people and we’re going to repeal Obamacare and replace it with solutions that lower the cost of health insurance without growing the size of government,” Pence said.

.....if the GOP follows through with supporting the Trump agenda, there will be a watershed of voter support for them in 2018.

The thing here is that the budget way only requirs a majority of votes.

So the National Socialists cant block it by filibuster.

“Repeal, reject, and replace.”

Nope. Just TOTALLY reject. We were all fine without it.

“So far it’s been five years of repeal, repeal, repeal—not one replace plan has garnered a lot of support even on the Republican side of the aisle let alone in America,” Schumer said.

Replace it with the free market. Health care is not the government's job.

May it land on the President’s desk as soon as possible after Jan. 20.

Collectivists have got to be bleeding from their eyes night and day right about now.

Indeed. Let’s not watch them screw it up by sending it over before Jan. 20.

Agree. Dump Obamacare then get out of the way. Let the private sector handle it. Remove all red tape and open the markets. The government has no business being involved in healthcare insurance other than passing laws for equal access to purchase a plan. Other than that, the private sector should develop plans and costs. The government has no right to force a citizen to buy a product.

Government needs to stay out of health care period. Repeal and end it. Only thing they need to do is allow interstate competition for insurances but otherwise stay away from healthcare.

Call me Crazy, but I don’t think this is good enough.

I want President Trump to VETO it!!, then repeal ALL Waivers issued by the Executive Branch, then Issue an Executive order mandating ALL FEDERAL EMPLOYEES enroll in and Purchase their own private and Family health Insurance plan from the Affordable Care Act Exchange in the State they legally reside.

Then issue another one Removing ALL Federal Funding from ANY State that does not have 100% of their employees enrolled in the Affordable Care ACt

And VETO EVERY ATTEMPT TO REPEAL UNTIL BOTH HOUSES ARE UNANIMOUS.

Crazy?? maybe, but I see this as the ONLY WAY OUT

The PEACE Order
The “Public Employee Affordable Care Enrollment” Order

ok, i’m looking at it. i called enzi’s office. the staffer just said this was just a budget for various committee’s to consider. so far it’s nothing earthshaking. of course, the one thing it does do is reserve funds for the “replacement” healthcare.

Shows we’re going to need Pence’s vote because Linda & McTraitor are going to be a problem.

"Only" 51 votes? Well, think back to the original voting on ObamaCare.Teddy Kennedy went to his eternal punishment not long before the voting started.A special election was held...which Scott Brown,a Republican, won. His entire campaign consisted of "I'll vote against ObamaCare" (I know...I was here).

Well, surprise, surprise! Dirty Harry refused to allow him to be sworn in and,as a result,a Rat Party coat holder,,.appointed by an affirmative action Rat Party Governor...was the 60th vote.

IOW,ObamaCare was fraudulent from the very start.

"Only" 51 votes? Please stop...you're breaking my heart!
