Charles Manson reportedly seriously ill, taken to hospital

Charles Manson, the 1960s cult leader who orchestrated a series of high profile murders, was taken to the hospital Tuesday for an undisclosed medical issue, the Los Angeles Times reported.

One of the sources familiar with the situation told the newspaper Manson, 82, was seriously ill, but could not provide specific information.

Manson wasn’t directly involved in the murders but he did travel to one of the scenes and did harbor the killers.

His death sentence was commuted to life during a brief window when the courts suspended the death penalty. It was considered “cruel and unusual punishment” to put those people BACK on death row.

Meanwhile we have Imam who have encouraged far worse horrors than Charles Manson stirred up and they are not in prison or dead.

He has kids, their identities aren’t widely promoted but there have been articles about them.

He may also be buried by the State. Consider that the Boston bomber got a burial in the US even though this was not his homeland.

On a local am radio station, KFI, one of the host pondered if that was part of the sentencing guidelines, that if Manson got sick, he had to go to a Bakersfield hospital.

All California inmates are eligible to go to outside hospitals, but only a doctor can order that they be sent out. It happens many times a day, everyday, throughout the state.

I hope he suffers in his final moments, and then leaves the world of the living.

Bin Laden blasts US for climate change

CAIRO - Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has called for the world to boycott American goods and the U.S. dollar, blaming the United States and other industrialized countries for global warming, according to a new audiotape released Friday.

In the tape, broadcast in part on Al-Jazeera television, bin Laden warned of the dangers of climate change and says that the way to stop it is to bring "the wheels of the American economy" to a halt.
