It’s not well meaning.

The EPA needs to be killed off, dry ice sounds good too

I worry about the dangers of increased carbon emissions generated by the dry ice and the decaying rats. /S

"Ricefield rats are also consumed in the Philippines, the Isaan region of Thailand, and Cambodia. In late 2008, Reuters reported the price of rat meat had quadrupled in Cambodia, creating a hardship for the poor who could no longer afford it."

Living here in Thailand Isaan I have seen cooked rats for sale in the markets. However, as the line states they use ricefield rats, they will not use the garbage eating city rats.

I’ll bet this would work on groundhogs too.

The EPA needs to be destroyed, all their workers fired and forever banned from all future gov’t employment.

I read a story on the invention and sale of an affordable smoke-making machine for the rat catchers in India. One guy said he used to catch 8 rats a day or something. He got a bounty from the farmer for each rat, and he also got to keep the rice he found in the rat’s tunnel. He fed his family on the rats and rice. He used to build a fire at the burrow entrance, and the smoke would slow the rats down enough that he could dig them out and catch them before they found an other exit.

Since he got the $50 machine his rat take has doubled, his wife cooks and sells the extra meat, and he will have enough money to send his kids to school so they won’t have to be rat-catchers.

Well let those idiots round them all up and take them home with them! Damn, there’s no person as animal crazy as I am but I have limits and rats are on the top of my list to do whatever it takes to get rid of them. If you’ve ever seen a baby chewed up by these varmints I don’t care HOW they meet their demise. Roaches too.......I read awhile back that some of those stupid idiots won’t kill a roach. I’d never eat dinner in their homes......yuck.

I’ll have to pass this on to friends of mine who have been dealing with woodchucks in their lawn for years.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

There is no way that ordinary substances like dirt, newspapers and dry ice are rodenticide “products” as intended by this statute or regulation, whatever it is.

Long story but suffice to say this past summer a colleague and I were hauling 40# of ice cream for a cattle producer education program. To keep the ice cream cold, I purchased 40# of dry ice and broke it into smaller pieces to adequately keep the stuff cold.

Well, after 15 or so minutes in the hot van we got inside to make the 180 mile trip. After turning on the air conditioner we took off. It wasn’t 2 minutes of driving before I couldn’t catch my breath. Seriously, I thought I was experiencing a heart attack. My colleague, a much younger man and beef veterinarian was experiencing the same and quickly put 2 + 2 together. We stopped and opened all of the windows. Symptoms quickly disappeared.

What an experience and to think ice cream with dry ice most did us in.

The foods we grow up with, we love. I can’t imagine eating a rat, but there are American foods that I won’t eat, too. Some people (can’t remember where, but it was street food) eat black flies steamed in banana leaves. I think it was Mexico or South America. I know the poor rurals in Mexico hunt and eat mice, and love it.

Labs work well for getting that job done.
