A Sydney council has enforced a summer-long alcohol ban on one of the citys most popular beaches as a result of the poor and inappropriate behaviour of a few on Christmas Day.

Looks like end of one of 0’s rallies when he was running for pres.
...and lots of garbage."
It’s Australia, so they’re using metric measurements. Another clue is that the story refers to “tonnes”, which are metric tons.
Also, it says that the garbage was left by only a few. Perhaps some 33 people backpacked in about 100 pounds of garbage each; that would be possible, though I have no idea why they’d do such a thing.

It's the appropriate decision. That is going to cost a fortune to clean up.
Honestly, people are such pigs these days. I can't imagine what some of them live like.
My thoughts exactly. Reminds me of the Mall in DC after Zero’s first ‘coronation’. The Entitled expect others to clean up after them.
They'd probably brought in portable/wheeled coolers that could be recycled or re-used again and again. (But abandoned after intoxication set in).
Also possible, but I’d hesitate to use the word “probably” without a bit more evidence that that is what happened.
Exactly right!
And I guarantee you each and every one of these idiots were ‘environmentalists’...................
