You don’t hire people for diversity. You hire people for competence, integrity, and good old fashioned intelligence with a basis in past accomplishments. Diversity is code for race-based hirers—just take a look at the monkeys in the White House.

Missouri would be far better. As I recall, Iowa went for Barack Hussein Obama.

We don’t need anyone who shut off irrigation to some of America’s best farmland, to run Agriculture.

The notion of saving a fish is a fraud.

This pol is from my neighborhood. He is weak at best and has trouble paying his taxes. I get the fact that the IRS has been weaponized, but what has been reported is the conversion of his company’s assets for private use - which is common enough and clearly illegal. He’s a RINO ally of former Gov. Schwarzenegger and his term as Lt. Governor was based on an appointment (he lost the following election). Can’t we do better?

Really who cares if X is a member of Y? Only to liberals and to the media. True Americans don’t care.

I still want Heidi!’s Senate seat GD it!

There seems to be a push to appoint a Latino to the cabinet. I can think of several hundred people I’d consider ahead of California’s answer to Nelson Rockefeller.

Da hell does he know about agriculture anyway?

Patience, Heitkamp’s seat will fall in 2018.

If there’s a push to put a Latino in the Cabinet, Trump should pick Bubbles Roofio to Agriculture so that FL can get an actual Conservative Senator, Ron DeSantis.

Abel Maldonado isn’t that bad. Anyway, Agriculture policy doesn’t usually fall along partisan/ideological lines.

“Da hell does he know about agriculture anyway?”

He’s a successful strawberry farmer and grew up on a family farm.

*twitching*

Yeah, Maldonado IS that bad. Really, really bad. He sucks canal water. Did I mention he’s awful ? I wouldn’t vote for him against Moonbeam. An Ah-noldbot disciple. In other words, he’s a Socialist Democrat doing a truly execrable impersonation of a Republican.
