President-elect Donald J. Trump today announced his selection of Thomas P. Bossert to serve as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism. In this position, Mr. Bossert will advise the President on issues related to homeland security, counterterrorism, and cybersecurity, and coordinate the Cabinet’s process for formulating and executing policy in these matters.

All of Obamas selections were politically motivated...not based on any merit of achievement outside of academia.

If by politically motivated you mean also agenda driven, I’d totally agree with you. A racist, pervert, communist, moslem agenda!
Bassert won’t be reporting to Flynn. Instead he’ll be Assistant to the President. His predecessor (under Obama) reported to the National security advisor.
Hey guys and gals.......I’m getting a bit nervous here. Unless there are still a whole slew of appointments to be made I’m worried that Dr. Sebastian Gorka won’t get high ranking appointment and if I have committed a what you call “hijacking a thread” I truly apologize.
