The Environmental Protection Agency has based its most onerous air pollution regulations on junk science meant to further political goals, says the author of a new book.
Lawyer-statistician Steve Milloy’s new book, “Scare Pollution,” shows readers how EPA has distorted the science behind air pollution regulations to hamper politically incorrect industries, from coal to logging to manufacturing.
“I have worked on EPA science controversies for 25 years,” Milloy told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “EPA doesn’t use science so much as it abuses it for its political ends.”
Milloy is referring to EPA regulations that rely on the shaky claim that fine particulate matter, or PM2.5, kills people. That claim alone has allowed EPA to claim billions of dollar worth of supposed benefits from regulating coal plants, factories and automobiles.

The EPA’s unwritten mission statement is to screw their fellow man over, destroy capitalism. Every one of them should be fired and forever banned from public employment.
Liberals say that Christians/conservatives are anti-science and oppose science. Aside from embryonic stem cell research that they somewhat hindered but didn’t stop, there are NO scientific areas that conservatives have even slowed. In contrast, liberals are opposing and interfering with genetic engineering, real climate science without the intent of using it as a political justification for policy, animal testing.

Something not even in the article is the impact of far liberal bias in the social sciences that prevents studies of genetics/biology on intelligence because they want to say everything is environmental, studies of racial differences genetically and medically, etc.

Been there, done that, went to major meeting with EPA and a stack of documents, test results, and used their own 'science' against them to prove we were in compliance and actually did not need an EPA Permit to Operate the equipment.
We won. We secured the waiver to operate. We didn't get an apology from the EPA regarding their overzealous agent who brought up trumped up charges and refused to review test results. Instead just kept sending noncompliance warnings, when the whole time we never needed their dang permission in the first place.
The EPA has killed household appliances engineering by having requirements that are unattainable. Shoddy appliances with the consumer taking the brunt.
The EPA has killed the US car market. Shoddy light materials are used to reach unrealistic guidelines with again the consumer taking the brunt.
Had a long talk with an EPA regulator once, the washing machine regulator. Unbelievable leftist fool. Will mouth any thing for a paycheck.
EPA was directed to kill US steel mills so crap pig still from chinawas the only option.

It will endander the Southwestern Willow Bandersnatch (don’t bother looking it up I just created it.) This endangered species does not exist but that will not stop the EPA.
