Just watched a "Father Knows Best" Christmas episode, and it is basically the Andersons lost on Christmas Eve and they come upon a lodge, where a man named "Nick" is living.
To get to the point, Nick is initially hostile to the Anderson's, but warms up to them. The Anderson's are then informed that Nick is a vagrant in the lodge, and they insist on paying the bill for Nick.
An interesting aspect is that all the children are interested in a gift in the lodge, Betty a camera, Bud a rifle, and Kathy a stuffed dog.
Can you imagine in these times a TV show actually portraying a rifle as a positive gift for Christmas.
Incam’t wait until next year’s Special: “A Trump Family Christmas”
I can’t imagine a TV program without at least one black person in it.
Is it available on YouTube? Might be nice to watch for Christmas.
I have not watch TV regularly since 1994.
Isn’t it required that bosses be black, white men idiots (unless they are the required homosexual), and that anyone who owns a gun is evil, ignorant, and racist, or all three?
I suppose a mandatory tranny on every show. Has that happened yet?

Betty’s back story :)
I watch almost zero modern era TV for those reasons and others.
Dont forget the white wife...runs a business..manages 3 kids..constantly schooling her white overweight dufus husband..while maintaining her sex appeal...a wise beyond their years 5 year old..another child who just got accepted to astronaut program...nosy neighbor who comes in unannounced all the time...most of tv is not worth pushing the electrons one angstrom further
Yes. Black males are depicted as strong, affluent, worldly, highly educated, overachieving Alpha males, while white males are depicted as cowardly, goofy, weak, groveling, effeminate, subservient dullards and Beta males, who fear the black man’s physical prowess, and who giggle and retreat when humiliated and talked down to by their black betters.
Gadzooks, Biff-- Not only do I remember that episode... we were living in Natchez, Mississippi, at the time--
I even found a screen grab from it:
And that wonderful old character actor... Wallace Ford, played 'Nick' in it.
And I wanted a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun... for Christmas that year--
"No, you'd... shoot your eye out."
Nope, that is Hollywood fiction... my Mom and Dad got me one--
And I turned out... all right!
BTW a free cigar to the whoever... can tell me what film that photo of Wallace Ford came from--
Gadzooks, Mark-- Thought you'd... never ask!
The picture of Wallace Ford came from “Harvey” (1950) with Jimmy Stewart.
but it costs $1.99...

Gadzooks, that was fast, exit-- And your free cigar... taste soooo good!

That I smoked it... twice!

the only way they could make Father Knows Best today is if Father is gay or black, because white straight men NEVER know best.
Actually, with a name like Father Knows Best, you better make Father gay AND black and give him a shaved head for coolness. You wouldn’t want anyone thinking that a white guy (even if he’s gay) or a straight guy (even though he’s black) would EVER know best. Patriarchy and stuff, ya know.
No, that will still trigger a million snowflakes. Forget it. No more Father Knows Best. It just isn’t worth the risk.
(Lots of truth and lots of sarcasm in this.)
Glad you enjoyed the cigar, Bender2!
I don’t smoke, so it did not go to waste.
Merry Christmas to you!!
There are no blacks om NCIS or NCIS LA
A black guy has been added on NCIS but he’s a Brit and doesn’t count
I like to watch TV. I’ve recently been watching foreign TV on Netflix
Office Girls is a fantastic Taiwanese allegorical tale of Red China becoming modern......English Subtitles
Magnificent Century is Turkish TV, the saga of Suliman the Magnificent establishing the Ottoman Empire in the 1520’s. Actually it is a soap opera about the jealousy and intrigue in his harem in Topkapi palace. He captured Rhodes and I think I will wuit watching however. One very interesting fact. Suliman designed two very large cannons for the siege of Belgrade. Recently, over the shoulder of the Killer of the Russian ambassador, was a picture of one of those old guns.
