I feel the need to share this. Over at Reddit, on The Donald, someone posted this article from "The Independent" in Washington DC about how to blue-pill your grandparents at Christmas. The story includes a link to an article stating that according to a study by New America, "white homegrown terrorists" have killed more Americans than Muslim immigrants or refugees (if you start counting AFTER 9/11, of course.)
So I followed that link to another article, also by The Independent. They link you to New America, but not the study, and no page you can find the study on. But another link takes you to NBC news.
The NBC news takes you to some website called Public Radio International, which claims that "White Americans" have committed more terrorism than Muslim immigrants. They (finally) link to a page of a "Think Tank" called New America, begun in 1999, who list the Gates and Soros families among their top funding sources.
And New America has this study that says White Americans killed more Americans (starting 9/12/01) than Muslim immigrants.
So I read their study (there is no date on it but it includes data from 2001-2016), and you can download their case files (it's under DATASET on part 2 of the study) so you can see the list of individuals who committed or plotted to commit the terrorist crimes that they tabulated. There are 396 names. I am looking through them now.
And this is what is interesting. While the VAST majority of the names are of the Abdul Mohammed Ahmed Rahim Khalil Hassan variety... most of them were either born here or are Naturalized Citizens. The category of "terror plot" is full of titles like Portland Seven (all Arabic names), Buffalo Six (Arab), Virginia Jihad Network (Amish? No.), Liberty City Seven (Arab), Minnesota Shabaab (Arab), Raleigh Jihad, DC Five (Arab)... it just goes on and on and on.
As for race... guess what? They are white, because as many of us know, the FBI, for example, does not have a separate racial category for people from the Middle East. Nor, as far as I know, does our census paperwork. I mean, has anyone ever seen "ARAB" as a category you can check off on any form that asks you what race you are? There isn't one. I just checked the US Census page on race and if you aren't from the Far East (Pakistan and beyond), you're not Asian. And there is no "Arab." Unless you are Sub-saharan African, you're white.
So if you combine all the Arabs who have American citizenship in with various neo Nazis (of which the study explicitly mention at least 4) and count them as White Americans... then yes. White Americans killed more people than Refugees and Immigrants. But look at who these "white Americans" are.
I don't know how they are getting away with this.
No, wait, yes I do. They conduct the study, tabulate the results, reveal that most of the terrorists are "American," but they don't make any damning interpretations... they just leave it there, to be linked by small press branches (also funded by Gates, and various philanthropic foundations linked to BBC, NYT, Times, all the usual suspects) that make a statement about the findings.
Those are then passed to a larger outlet, like The Independent, who remark upon it in even more simplified language, and then finally it may make its way to the major ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/NYT/WaPo network, where it becomes a talking point.
They make the statement "White Americans have killed more people than Muslim immigrants or refugees." They link to the smaller source, the small source links to the outlet, the outlet links to the foundation, the foundation links to the think tank, the think tank has the data you can download...
But how many people will go that far to find the source? I'm only doing it because I'm on vacation and bored with Netflix.
This is like how the Mafia used to launder money, you know. It went through mob-owned laundries and car dealerships and restaurants... this is information laundering. They know most people will take it at face value and it'll be tweeted around the world faster than I can read that list of 396 mostly Arabic names.
But if you ever call them on it, no one "lied." It's like a game of telephone. New American points out that most terrorists operating in America were born here, and are "white." PRI condenses it a little more, NBC a little more, the Independent a little more, and the next thing you know, it's a "fact."
Like Russian hacking.

obfuscation happens when one conflates ‘color’ with ideology. Ideology is the real issue. Most give not a rodent’s sphincter about ‘color’ but about one’s beliefs. Journalists hope that the reader’s mind is as shallow as their own.

Start with the headline you want, then work to find data to back up a nonsensical assertion. Adjust dates and timelines to fit your purpose. Spread it through your media outlets until it gets accepted as true by multiple presentations.
A non story with a faulty premise has just been passed off as legitimate news because it fits the agenda.
