Exactly - the reason Trump beat 16 other candidates was because of how left the Republicans were were under both Bush’ and how they went up (or lack thereof) against Obama.

When in the history of the Republican party have they EVER governed to far right? You cannot say during Reagan because he had to deal with a rat congress. You cannot include the Newt Gingrich house when they were under the Bill Clinton regime.
The fact is that there has NEVER been a time when the GOP actually governed from the right.
But there has been many, many times when the Rats governed from the far left:
Woodrow Wilson
Franklin Roosevelt
Lyndon Johnson
Jimmy Carter
Bill Clinton
Barry Soetero

Substitute Barack for Joe, and it's entirely interchangeable. It'll be a dead-cinch 2018 GOP sweep if Barack comes out in the next day or so to make the same claim. Can't wait for it.
