Kids own their bodies, and must give consent before hugs and kisses from Grandma. That's an argument from Scary Mommy:

The terrible thing is, although this lady went a overboard, I kind of agree.
Too many of my family are not saved and not quite right, and if my child was uncomfortable I would not force the issue.
Trying to soothe ruffled feathers might be rough, but the loss of innocence of the child is far rougher.
Like kids don’t think they’re running the show enough already? Now grandma and grandpa are poor, pathetic low-lives, hoping desperately that their little princess will allow them to hug her? What a way to create a disrespectful monster.
Hopefully not too many will subscribe to this outrageous thinking. My grandbabies (7,5 and 2) roll their eyes when I say “Time for some kissin’ and a huggin’ and a squeezin’ and a lovin’!” But they giggle through it - and if I forget to go through the routine, they say, “Nanna, aren’t you forgetting something?”

I remember years ago when I told one of my kids how old relative loved to pinch kids’ cheeks. Sure enough, we visited Grandma, and my kid ran up to me and said, “Dad, she did the cheek thing!”
Normally I disagree with anything liberals do and say on principle, but here I agree. I had a step-grandpa with a drinking problem and wandering hands. Enough said.

Because it teaches family values, it strengthens family bonds, and teaches kids to RESPECT their elders and show them love (RESPECT- A Word you liberals care nothing about obviously)- that’s why your ignorant liberal dolts
Pretty soon it will illegal for grandma to hug their kids and illegal for kids not to hug homosexuals
I marvel at how far down the rabbit hole we’ve gone. I’m starting to wonder if it’s a bottomless pit.
