I think that is one of the reasons Pelosi got the speakership of the House once again, too many people are complicit in the cover up and it was a case of CYA.

The Constitution says natural born citizen.
That means one who is naturally an American because they couldn’t be anything else, born here of citizen parents.
Everyone in DC wanted that changed without the hassle of amending the Constitution.
This was done intentionally because Rubio (no citizen parents), Cruz (foreign birth, one citizen parent), Jindal (no citizen parents), George P Bush (one citizen parent) and Haley (no citizen parents) were all ineligible and the future of the GOP.

Unless precedent is set, with dire consequences for doing such, it’s not only “not impossible” that some fraudulent group could pull this off again, it’s highly likely it would be done again.

Oh, and the one Hawaiian official who said she knew the truth was killed in a plane crash.
