North Carolina’s Republican-dominated legislature took extraordinary steps Thursday to reduce the powers of a Democratic governor-elect, defying raucous protests and threatened legal challenges days before he takes office.
GOP lawmakers ignored protesters disrupting House and Senate floor debate and advanced legislation on the second day of their surprise session, which Democrats angrily called a power grab to weaken Roy Cooper once he becomes governor Jan. 1.
The state’s attorney general, Cooper beat Republican Gov. Pat McCrory by barely 10,000 votes and vowed to fight back against GOP initiatives of recent years, particularly a law McCrory signed last March limiting LGBT rights. …

The Founders meant for the Legislatures to have more power than the Courts or Executive. It has only been legislative cowardice that has allowed Executive and Judicial tyranny. It’s past time to revert the trend.
Cowardice? No; collaboration, yes. It is not fear that causes the rubber stamp to come out.
GOOD!!!! What do the Dems expect after they tried to economically destroy the state for keeping men out of the ladies room?

That is the big question a lot of us have been asking. Most Republicans won their races with the exception of a few key ones. No way to prove anything sneaky now.
Those 90,000 votes that came in after 11PM from Durham county were never audited to see if they were fraudulent votes. Sad.
