Since these days it’s all about “fake news,” I think it’s time we say something about fake Jews, and not just because it rhymes.
First you should know that as a writer this makes me automatically “a lonely guy.” I am not “sociable” and belong to no organizations. Never did.
A lady in shul once asked me if I am “affiliated.” I did not know what she was talking about. Finally, she explained that it would be helpful if I became affiliated.
“We need people like you,” she insisted.
No, I don’t think so. I did not think so then and I do not think so now. Something about “organizations” makes be nervous and suspicious.
Lately even more so do I feel okay in abstaining from being a joiner. Join what – J Street, ADL, Hillel, Peace Now?
Those are the first that come to mind as being Jewish but being on the wrong side of Jewishness. They do more harm than good.
Wait. I forgot Chuck Schumer, our Jewish New York Senator. Schumer is all in for Keith Ellison to run the DNC.
Schumer is not bothered by that fact that Ellison is connected to Louis Farrakhan and I’ll bet Schumer is affiliated. That’s what I’m talking about.
If you say those types mean well, I say no they don’t. I say they intend to do us harm. I have done the research, but going on I’d rather not name names.

“Fake” now apparently means “anything I disagree with”. Childish.
“Jews” describes primarily an ethnic group (which mostly follows to some degree the Religion “Judaism”).
They may be libs, lefties, atheists or whatever shade of political/ideological affinity... they are not any less Jewish. I didn’t know that ethnicity depends on ones poltical views.
My advice to the author:
Just say that you disagree with thir views,
but don’t try to fool us by selling them off as “fake” Jews.

I didn’t know that ethnicity depends on ones poltical views. . This is about politics, not religion. There are religious Jews who are progressives. Their error is wrapping their secular political views in personal interpritations of faith.
He is not saying they are fake Jews, just that they are Jewish by birth only. They have no concept of what being Jewish really is. They have no idea what Jewish people have been through, for being just Jewish. Or if they did, liberalism has made them ignore the Jewish hate that is far more prevalent then the Arab hate. There is a certain amount of truth in what he says. Liberals Jews are willing to sacrifice themselves from some unexplained reason, and subject themselves to self flagellation. However, I almost think it is more than just a Jewish thing, it is deeply rooted in liberalism.
Context. This is a response to the Michael Lerner-type Jews who frequently say Jews who aren’t political liberals aren’t Jews at all. Lerner goes so far as to say that ‘Judaism is being murdered by Jewish support for Israel’.

Do you ever do anything "Jewish" beyond maybe attending synagogue for a couple of hours on a couple of days in Tishri (maybe usually September to you)?
Schumer might make a courtesy appearances at different synagogues on several Shabbats a year, but the guy is such a phony that you have to know such appearances are for show. Does he show up at 9AM? Is he there for Adon Olam at noon? I'd bet anything he isn't and he isn't.

Their concept of Jewish is warped, so they keep saying that “as a Jew” they are for gay marriage, or admitting all rapefugees without vetting, or whatever the death wish libtardian issue of the day is. This is because to them Judaism has been boiled into “tikun olam” (fixing the world), and the only prescription for that which they can get their warped brains around is liberalism. Any other prescription is racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, and deplorable.
The Bible repeatedly warns us against idols. Idols are not just statues. Idols are anything that we choose or let take the place of biblical faith values in our lives — money, socialist and/or dictatorial politics, power, you name it. The article laments the all- too- visible JINO problem so commonplace in “reform” or “secular Jewish” circles today. The same problem exists in (post—) Christian culture (and several CINO “churches” or denominations). Such individuals may continue to self- identify as Jews or Christians but in very real and practical terms they’re not — and indeed are often the exact opposites of same. Sometimes their outright enemies, too.
There are two types of Jews. Those that actually observe their faith and worship God, and those that worship the God of Marx and would be thrilled by the destruction of Israel. The latter are fake Jews.

This doesn’t affect ethnic/cultural affiliations.
An ethnic Jew can be an atheistic communist and still remains an ethnic Jew.
People are often mixing up religios Judaism with Jewish ethnicity. And being a religiously observant Jew doesn’t always mean support for right-wing politics.

My sister thinks she is Jewish, and she is considered Jewish according to Jewish Law, but I doubt she could tell you one thing Judaism related that she does or a thing she knows that isn't common knowledge amongst educated Christians.

You might want to have a closer look at the history of the Zionist movement and it’s relation to Judaism.
There are plenty of non-religious or atheist Zionists.
And there are strictly Torah-observing religious Jews who are vehemently anti-Zionist. The fiercest Jewish critics of Zionism were orthodox Rabbis who saw it as a secular meddling in God’s plans.
Zionism is a secular nationalist ideology (historically strongly linked with Socialism and the Labor movement).
Only in the last decades has religious Zionism gained preeminence... overtaking the leftist/socialist secular Labor Zionism.
All of them are equally Jewish... since Jewishness is an ethnicity, regardless of politics or religious observance.
Some parallels can be drawn between Baal worship and the creed that JINOs have replaced Judaism with. The human sacrifices are unborn infants. The lewd rites take place in college dorms.
