Yes, the rain’s still moving this way and is close. Not sure how much we’ll get but we’ll take what we get gladly.
At least the temp is still warmish but darn the wind! It’s still roaring. I’ve heard a couple of things blow off the back porch but I’m just going to leave it where it is until tomorrow. There’ll be more blown off and I don’t want to pick that stuff up more than once. I’m lazy tonight. :-)

I get the feeling this isn’t going to be one of those winters we’re colder than you are. Sure hope not! LOL!

Just got Mom to bed and lights out.

I’m beat. I’ve been explaining over and over and over and over again, all day, that I have sent her email Christmas letter and addressed the envelopes for those without email addys.

After I get the email sent I’m going to bed.

Oh boy. Sounds like another fun-filled day with your mom. I feel for you. I only had a couple of hours of talking in circles with Aunt Clara today and that left my brain rattling for a while.

Hope you get a good night’s sleep with no interruptions.
Also hope you found some toasty footwear for work to keep your tootsies nice and warm.

I’m pretty sure I heard the story from my wife about an older friend from church that was from Berlin. The woman said how the planes would drop the stuff and it was so wonderful. She was just a little kid - but she knew it was so important for her family.

She remembers looking at the American flag that was on every(?) box and asking her parents about who was sending the stuff. After hearing the explanation of her unknown benefactors she said “Some day I’m going to live in America!”

It's raining here but, I need to get to the gym.

I've been out for two weeks
due to babysitting and need to get back into the groove.
Let me tell you, it's hard when it's cold and rainy. Eek!

I've been making some trips to get used to scheduling and need some sign-offs, but I'll be heading home for at least four days over Christmas then back out to Denver. It gets into the forties during the day then down into the twenties overnight.

OF COURSE we got lost! (LOL) It wouldn’t be Somerville if we didn’t get lost. hehehe.

I theorize that my computer glitch was caused, not by the power failure itself, but by the surge of electricity when the power came back on.

Time to get a surge-protector. (MORE $$$)

*Then 1st Lt. Halvorsen was the airlift pilot who became legend to the kids of Berlin when he started dropping candy to them as he flew into and out of the city.
