Minneapolis Hiring More Cops - "An Act of Violence"?
Law Officer ^ | December 8, 2016

The mayor of Minneapolis proposed to hire 15 more police officers to help reduce rising crime - but the proposal has become controversial, with one citizen calling it "an act of violence against people of color," according to a news report from the StarTribune.

With the number of violent crimes increasing throughout Minneapolis, and the number of gun-related injuries up 27%, mayor Betsy Hodges proposed hiring 15 more police officers.

The overall message from those who spoke at the hearing seems invariably clear: do not hire more police officers.

Some characterized the hiring of more police officers in more controversial terms, including south Minneapolis resident Sam Dun, who said that, "To allow this item to pass is not only an insult to a lot of the folks in this room, but it’s an act of violence against people of color."

I bet that honest, law-abiding “people of color” would welcome this. I’m sure they don’t want to live in fear or worry about their children’s safety.

Besides, aren’t there black police officers too?

The citizens of Minneapolis can decide how many police it wants, what their terms of engagement are and much else. This is within the purview of the VOTERS of Minneapolis. Let the voters decide how many police they want. If they want fewer ... or none at all ... that is up to them.

Have a community vote. If the community votes for more cops, great. If not, put them downtown, at malls, in white neighborhoods... where they will be welcomed.

The stupidity of some of these “citizens” is interesting. What they are saying or admitting by objection is that Blacks are the ones committing the crimes and they don’t want no cops there to hinder their criminal activity. Unbelievably stupid.

Something tells me these “people of color” committing crimes are imported from Somalia.

That's exactly right. BLM represents the 10% criminal class. The vast majority of blacks want nothing to do with BLM.

Citizens carry guns, too; and in rapidly increasing numbers.

Carjackings will more frequently end with Dindu Nuffin’s blood on the pavement.

Tell the “people of color” to behave themselves and the new police officers won’t bother them.

Apparently, now enforcing the law is racial discrimination.

This is the real obama legacy.

My late father’s caregiver was from the same inner-city Chicago neighborhood as my dad. She’s African-American and when she goes to visit her parents, she hurries out of there as quickly as possible. Her parents have installed motion detectors all around their property.

They are good, law-abiding people, living in the home where they raised their children. Even if they wanted to sell their house, they couldn’t because of all the violence and crime around them.

Pretty sad situation actually.

Carjackings will more frequently end with Dindu Nuffin’s blood on the pavement.

After the takeover in South Africa, carjackings skyrocketed. To combat this, some drivers had flamethrowers installed on their cars. Someone tries to get in your car, light the flamethrower and , instant crispy critter. Suddenly, carjackings became rare.
