Drugs reflect a society lacking a moral compass and a reason to live.
So where shall we find such a thing?
I ask it rhetorically of course.
99 times out of 100, a country faced with an issue like this will try to find the answer in some form of pride. And it will fail.
There are 1.33 MILLION Chronic Pain patients with incurable diseases, and pain meds are the only reason they function or can get out of bed. You can’t lump us all in the same category.
My Seizure Med is classified on that DEA list. It controls 3 diseases or conditions from Meniere’s disease, a disorder of the inner ear that causes episodes in which you feel as if have vertigo, you puke, and have diarrhea, and reel like a drunk on a week long bender, and you have fluctuating hearing loss with a progressive, ultimately permanent loss of hearing, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), I’ve lost half my low Freq hearing, and wear twin hearing aids, and sometimes a feeling of fullness or pressure in your ear. My first Vertigo attack I was 62, crawled to the bathroom to puke my guts up and ended up in the ER. And nerve damage that causes Peripheral Neuropathy due to spinal degeneration, and Fibromyalgia which I’ve had 30+ yrs now NO CURE for any of it. Touch my spine and it will crumble.
Now to get my seizure med I have to PEE in a bottle under supervision every 3 months like a street junkie. My dr fears arrest for even scripting for it.
