The Election's Ominous Results
American Thinker ^ | December 7, 2016 | Sha'i ben-Tekoa

Yes, it is good that Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, especially in light of revelations of her private email security breaches and pay-for-play administration of the State Department. If true, she belongs in prison. However, what is ominous is the number of voters who, despite all that was known of her crimes, still voted for her. This is not a sign of a healthy American electorate.

It seems the same citizens who voted for Barack Obama in 2012 after his disastrous first four years voted for her. Many people who go the polls in our generation are simply not thinking. They are less informed and thoughtful citizens than idolaters.

This is not what the Framers of the U.S. Constitution had in mind in Philadelphia in the summer of 1787 when those fifty-five remarkable American men of achievement -- businessmen, doctors, lawyers, farmers, and scientists, argued and drafted that document that has served America so well ever since.

Chairing their proceedings was the richest man in America and rightfully the most admired, war hero George Washington, the future first president. It is said that the Framers designed the office of the president with him in mind.

However, neither the future second nor third presidents, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, were in attendance. They were in Europe serving as ambassadors to England and France respectively.

Understatement of the year!

The leftist agenda is more important than criminality.

If you want to murder babies, that overrides voting for someone that commits treason.

Makes perfect sense.

—as the president of the Czech Republic purportedly said , upon the election of THE ONE, the problem is not so much him as it is the people of a country who would vote for him-—

Let us keep this in perspective, one third of the votes cast for Clinton are fraudulant. Either dead folk, or illegal aliens.

Leftists are freaks-=of-nature. Similar to malignant infections, they will persist in their determination to infect and destroy. They must be ground to dust in order for them to be stopped.

Yes, the electorate isn’t healthy. But remember that Trump was vastly outspent, which isn’t gong to happen next time. If Reagan and Bush had been similarly outspent, they might never have made it. Republicans need to start harping on where the left is getting all that money.

I blame the media. That's the root cause. Too many voters still rely on CNN, NBC, ABC, the NYT, and all the other propagandists. Can one really blame voters if all they see is entirely once sided coverage? It's actually difficult to find conservative coverage in some areas of the country. Without the alternate media on the internet, we'd be seriously screwed. Freedom literally came very near to being snuffed out this election.

not unprecedented....these same “thinking” types again elected Marion Berry as mayor after he was released from prison.

Their vote is not for a person, they vote for an affirmation of their bent reality. That is why so many are "fearful" about the result.

Yes. Voter ID must be implemented and the voting rolls purged of the deceased.

I call them “dead-girl” Democrats. Legend has it that a Louisiana gubernatorial candidate once quipped that he couldn’t lose the election unless he was caught in bed “with a dead girl or a live boy.” While either is equally likely in the deviant ranks of today’s Democrat party, the claim no longer holds true. The purblind loyalists in those ranks wouldn’t hesitate to elect their candidate, no matter who or what was in his bed.

This is why I said, in 2008, that the problem is not Obama. It is the electorate. And they don’t have term limits.

In a sane world, Hillary would not have been able to come close to winning her party’s primary. Frankly, someone with her background would not have bothered to run because they would have known it was a waste of time.

The left brings cultural pathology into focus and gives it representation and legal status. To rid ourselves of the democrat party we must see to the health of the body politic.
The first step is to overcome any anxiety about encountering cultural sickness directly and forcefully. It is not compassionate to coddle sociopaths. The only viable treatment is forced compliance with acceptable social behavior.

“... the richest man in America and rightfully the most admired, war hero George Washington”

Is that true? Richer than, say, Robert Morris?
