The media are misleading the public on Syria
The Boston Globe ^ | February 18, 2016 | Stephen Kinzer

Coverage of the Syrian war will be remembered as one of the most shameful episodes in the history of the American press. Reporting about carnage in the ancient city of Aleppo is the latest reason why.

For three years, violent militants have run Aleppo. Their rule began with a wave of repression. They posted notices warning residents: “Don’t send your children to school. If you do, we will get the backpack and you will get the coffin.” Then they destroyed factories, hoping that unemployed workers would have no recourse other than to become fighters. They trucked looted machinery to Turkey and sold it.

This month, people in Aleppo have finally seen glimmers of hope. The Syrian army and its allies have been pushing militants out of the city. Last week they reclaimed the main power plant. Regular electricity may soon be restored. The militants’ hold on the city could be ending.

Obama/McCain and their pet mediots have lied to us about the real evil in Syria for years. That has failed and will continue to fail as:

We Are Real, We Are Truthseekers, And We Do Not Accept Mainstream Media Fake News!

“The essay I want to share with you is one the most excellent and far-reaching pieces of truth I have ever read. The writer is Carl Herman. Carl Herman is a National Board Certified Teacher of US Government, Economics, and History; also credentialed in Mathematics...he demands a clear vision of the current Mainstream Media hoax that is currently being played upon Alternative Media. He gives examples of the true hoax of Mainstream Media, which has been played on the American people for a very long time. That is how Alternative Media was born….we had to find our way from the darkness of lies to Light of truth. The Internet is both a positive and negative entity, but Alternative Media has become the positive force of the Internet...”

There are no “ moderate rebels”, only violent islamists and opportunists ( SAA defectors) hooked up with them

The civilians when freed are running for areas controlled by their Syrian government ( yes their government )

Some good commentary on this blog

It's going to have to stand in line.

If our goal was to permit Russia and Iran access to oil, a major middle east footprint and a presence on Israel’s northern border, we succeeded in a big way.

If our goal was to create a massive human wave of refugees into the west, we succeeded better than the boldest expectations.

If our goal was loss of millions of lives, we reached it.

If our goal was to make the US odious to future generations of middle easterners, huzzah, we stink like last month’s salmon.

We fundamentally transformed things. Where’s our little participation trophy?
