Nobel Prize-Winning Author Wole Soyinka Throws Away Green Card, Relocates Over Trump Win

Nobel Prize-winning author Wole Soyinka said Thursday that he fulfilled his promise to throw away his United States green card and relocate if Donald Trump won the presidency.
“I’ve done it,” the Nigerian author told news channel eNCA on the sidelines of an education conference at the University of Johannesburg, Reuters reported. “When I was ready, when I’d finished, I negotiated my departure,” he said.
Mr. Soyinka said Africans are worried that Mr. Trump could tarnish the legacy of President Obama, whose father was Kenyan. “We on the African continent could boast that we had a contemporary descendent ruling the United States,” he said. “Suddenly, somebody is making speeches which are meant to reverse those gains.”
Mr. Soyinka won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986 and has been a regular teacher at American Ivy League universities, including Harvard, Cornell and Yale.

I think Trump has bigger fish to fry. Besides, how can Obama’s legacy get more tarnished than what Obama did? His whole 8 years have been one bad decision after another, and the tarnish can’t be erased.
Anyhow, the Nobel winner’s trip out of the country, will just prove that, the country will be much better off with the likes of him leaving and not doing more damage to the country. Addition through subtraction.
