Tragic story all around.
Prayers for the family.

Knowing NOTHING of this father and daughter, there are almost no situations that cause more grief than the suicide of a child. I have a coworker (former) who has withdrawn from the world after the death of her college daughter. It is heart-breaking to see the grief that she piles upon herself in-spite of all her friends telling her that, in the end, suicide is the act of the one who does it!

Sometimes it’s hard to remember that Lawyers are people, too. Successful man, long-term marriage, lots of kids. Nothing wrong with that.
A very sad situation, all the way around. Please post a follow-up and ping us when they have more answers.

Very unfortunate. Some events can perhaps remove the will to live for some people, one imagines. Very tragic.

The stress of losing a child may have exacerbated an undiagnosed (or diagnosed) heart ailment.
Losing a child is the worst imaginable experience anyone endures.

Loncar made headlines in May 2008 when he was seriously injured in a collision with a Dallas Fire-Rescue truck.
The truck, on its way to an emergency, smashed into the driver's side of his 2008 Bentley in Oak Lawn, breaking his pelvis and 10 ribs and collapsing one of his lungs.

Loncar was badly injured a few years ago when he drove his Bentley in front of a fire truck. The Bentley was totaled. And his lawsuit was thrown out of court.

I have a child who has had to deal with serious depression. Depression is contagious. When my child is in a bad way, it puts me there too.
