We got a little over 2 inches of rain last night and with the rain the night before, that’s 3 inches total. That’s how much we’d gotten from Sept. up until this week!
And some people wonder why TN has been ablaze the past few weeks.
There’s snow on the radar up there and I hope it’s a decent amount. You need it with those temps you’re having now!
Good for you! No hurry at all since you have all the time in the world now. LOL!
We’re thrilled with the rain we got but we had a scare early this morning. I heard on the Nashville early morning news just where the tornado was that hit my hometown last night and I drove over there at 4 a.m. I knew the path took it reeeeeeally close to the nursing home where Hubby’s aunt was, if not right over it. Turned out it missed by about a quarter mile. WHEW!
Was also glad to se it pouring in Gatlinburg during their live reports from there early this morning.
Yeah, any time you talk transmission work, you’re talking big bucks. Ouch!
Grocery day for you, too, huh? Same here. Before I went to the store, I drove around town a little to see some of the tornado damage but didn’t go to the areas hardest hit. Figured they didn’t need unnecessary traffic in the way of cleaning up.
No snow in our forecast but there IS some more rain headed our way the next week. We’ll take it! Gladly!

We had a decent day with highs in the low 60s but it’s already dropped to 43. Low to mid 30s for the overnight low, then highs in the 50s and upper 40s the next few days. This is pretty typical weather now for the beginning of December but yesterday was definitely not typical for this time of year.
I kinda liked it yesterday. LOL!
Yes, about 10 miles from the farm in my hometown. We watched the “light show” from the deck last night as it went through.

Thinking on our faithful service troops away from their families gives me faith as I was there for years with no family - America itself was enough to get me through. Before the internet soldier’s family members sent me letters, baked goods and invitations I couldn’t reciprocate but touched me to my soul. Thank you all.
That’s what I’m thinkin’. No rush...it’ll all get done.LOL!
Oh, my! I never thought about it coming close to where your hubby’s aunt is staying. I’m glad it missed them! Was there much damage in other locations?
Hmm...LUV is slow tonight.
Evening, Kathy! Another batch of glorious photos!
That’s been my motto for a few years now. LOL!
To be honest, I didn’t think about the nursing home either when they first said a tornado had hit the town on the 10:00 news. It wasn’t until I saw where the reporter was while doing her report early this morning that I realized where the tornado had gone. It only took a couple of seconds to figure out the track it had to take to get to that point and I was out the door.
There are a lot of trees down, power lines and power poles down, and some houses were damaged. Thankfully there were no deaths and no injuries reported. Still no power in some areas.
Channel 5 keeps saying it was an F1 but I heard on the radio this afternoon it had been upgraded to an F2 by the NWS. Not huge but they don’t have to be to make a big mess.
Hmmmmm, seems LUV’s not the only one who was slow tonight. LOL! I just knew one of ya would beat me to the punch.
Hump day, then the weekend!
I wasn’t just slow...I was AWOL!! I was off bird-watching. LOL!
Anyhow...WOOHOOO, radu!
That’s why you need to use more than one window at a time. LOL!
I’m watching the owlets as I type. The whole family is together tonight.
Hope the tornado skipped by everything and found an empty field.
