he’s probably talking to every GOP congressman that may give him problems with his agenda.

McCaul is an open borders bushbot and leading contender to primary Cruz.

I certainly hope that’s all there is to it.

He is our Congressman, and he is weak. He has designs on Ted Cruz’s Senate seat, and that would give Texas two weak senators, he and Cornyn. Texas ought to do better than that.

McCaul is a weak, scum-sucking weasel whose father-in-law bought him his seat. He’san Austin-R, which is worse than a Rino, and he’s part of the Bush amnesty crowd. He needs a beat-down, not a promotion.

Trump is operating on a very high level of 3 Dimensional Chess...trying to move enemies where he wants them, put people in boxes, bring them to his side while blunting opposition. It will be awhile before we see what he is actually up to with some of these moves/discussions.
I have seen enough in my life to be aware we can be greatly disappointed, but nothing has happened as yet to make me fearful it will happen on the big issues.

I’m surprised he hasn’t converted to Islam yet.

McCaul would be an excellent Cabinet choice.

That is why Cruz is safe. His possible replacement would be worse!

Appointing someone to a Cabinet position, then finding fault with them and firing them a few months later would be one way to remove potential troublemakers from Congress. Especially if it is a seat that a friendly Governor gets to fill the vacancy.
