Ds by and large irreligious.

The more you go to church or believe in God, the more likely you’re R.

If we plot on a linear regression line, religious intensity is a good predictor for how a person will vote.

The data doesn’t lie.

I don’t get the Hispanic Catholic block swinging to the left, even before illegal immigration was a big deal.

Its like the joke about Puerto Ricans. Jews, Muslims and liberal Christians vote D.

You will always find outliers on a linear progression line plot.

I apologize for the incredible idiocy of my fellow Jews. I, my wife, my mother, one of my uncles and a lot of others I know voted for Trump, but I am in South Texas. Most of the rest are otherwise bright people, but are for some reason politically retarded.

Even after vilification by Romney, the Mormons for Trump was still huge. And the Utah vote with the replacement ‘conservative Mormon candidate ‘ appears to have taken more votes from Hitlery than if he didn’t run.

I don’t get the Hispanic Catholic block swinging to the left, even before illegal immigration was a big deal.

The more recent the Hispanic immigrant, the more Left-leaning the politics. They associate the Republicans with the oligarchs in the kleptocracies they fled and the Democrats promise them a means to "get over" on them: racial preferences, Other People's Money, etc.

I’m RC. And though we voted for Trump in a majority I can tell you there were a lot of ‘smart’ Catholics who voted for Hitlery.....some unfortunately in my family

“I don’t get the Hispanic Catholic block swinging to the left, even before illegal immigration was a big deal.”

Hispanic Catholics are not what you’d refer to as ‘typical’...they’re more into the worship of death...Santa de la Muerte.

Probably those that have to listen to Social Justice Homilies every week.

What I find interesting is that Trump only did four points worse than that “great Mormon savior himself Mitt Romney” among Mormons. That is almost statistically insignificant....

Being Jewish in America is more about ethnicity than religion.

To the Left, politics IS their religion.

It’s shocking that Israel and Israel’s existence are not even on the radar of American Jews. For people with such an incredible history, how they can steep themselves in the minutae of it while letting others seal its fate passes me by.

As a Catholic I can tell you that I have rarely heard the term “Social Justice” in church. I have heard it, however, often with people who are affiliated with the two local Catholic colleges/universities in my area.

Most of my friends voted for Trump. A few are diehard Democrats ad I am uncertain whether they will ever have the courage to abandon their habits of infancy politics.

For a study looking at race and the presidential vote, what about the black vote? It is curiously missing from the data. Or my eyesight is getting worse...

Let’s hear it for the evangelicals, woohoo! Many were uncertain about Trump and some even openly opposed him (Beth Moore who is now dead to me) and we still came through!
