Border Patrol agents in the remote Texas Big Bend Sector are sounding the alarm as Mexican cartels overwhelm them with illegal immigrants ahead of President-elect Trump’s inauguration. The sector has very few agents assigned and has remained one of the most open and unsecured regions along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Mexican cartels take the path of least resistance. They flood the RGV Sector (Rio Grande Valley) with illegal aliens. Border Patrol then redirects agents to that sector. The cartels then utilize the now-deleted sector for their profits. The smuggling routes are owned by cartels. They are leased by the smugglers to bring illegal aliens into he U.S., and they are used strategically to influence how the Border Patrol assigns resources.”

Obama is sabotaging border security.

Authorize deadly force and we can get away some pretty cheap walls.

Obama probably gives them a heads up as to which zones are thinly patrolled, real time. I wouldn’t put it past him, or at least, past some of the invaders he approves of.

never allow any illegal alien to cross your border, or illegally stay in your nation. period.

just the fact that this is happening now is more than reason enough to build the wall.

The smuggling routes are owned by cartels.

WRONG WRONG WRONG, They are OWNED by the DEA and the CIA, we RENT them to the Cartels and we Launder their Money, All for a Modest Fee. WHich is why the Border will NEVER BE CLOSED.

There are Millions and Millions of GOVERNMENT UNION EMPLOYEES employed directly as a result of this partnership in the War on Drugs. We Extract BILLIONS of DOLLARS from the Citizens also to KEEP THIS WAR GOING.

You Can NOT have a War on Drugs without DRUGS!

The Border will NEVER BE CLOSED, EVER!

I disagree.

For 8 years, the Fraud has been LEADING the war — against America and all we stand for.

Don't blame O'dummy. Jorge Busho was the biggest saboteur in our history, even stabbing his most loyal constituents in the back with his nefarious open borders globalism. O'dumdum is just continuing the work jorge began.

There must be SOMETHING Abbot can do.
Didn’t he vow to protect the citizens of Texas when he took over the governorship of Texas?

I’ve been to Big Bend National Park, and soaked my feet in the Rio Grand. (Up to my ankles, as there wasn’t any water in the river then).

Gov Abbott has every DPS trooper he can muster on the border. On Fridays you can see the “shift change” on I-37.

Invasion of a sovereign nation by a neighboring country was once considered an act of war.

Back in Spring, 1983, we canoed the Rio Grande thru Big Bend, starting with Mariscal Canyon and ending at the Park HQ at Boquillas -- about a 4-day 45 mile trip.

First night out, we camped at the bottom of Mariscal -- at the base of sheer 1200 ft cliffs.

Aside from a couple of Mexican children fishing below one of the rapids on Day 3, we didn't see another human being for four days.

Absolutely one of the most remarkable trips I've ever experienced.

Invasion of a sovereign nation by a neighboring country was once considered an act of war.

Nowadays it is considered "an act of love".

Where in hell is the US Army, anyhow? Aren't they the ones equipped and responsible to stop foreign invasions?

'Think it was '84 when I was there.

Trump's wall will need to be moved back north a bit, although nobody's coming over those cliffs! Although, maybe for illegals, there are "Cliff Notes". ;)
