Failed 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney is lobbying to be picked as Donald Trump’s Secretary of State, so perhaps Trump’s team should review all of Romney’s undiplomatic statements from 2015 and 2016 about the future Commander in Chief.

Wow I knew Romney is awful but I did not know just how much garbage he had spewed to try to derail the Trump Train.

Romneykins must not be SofS, or anything else in this admin. I hope and pray that Trump is merely toying with him.

What's past is *past*.*TODAY* Republican big shots,from DJT on down,must at least be civil to one another and speak in "diplomatic" ways to the voting public (and the world at large).To do otherwise would give the Maoist Rats ammunition to subvert DJT's mission.So from now on...just to use *one* example...the campaign promise "we're gonna build a wall and make Mexico pay for it" must become "in order to better enforce immigration and residency laws that have been in force for many decades a more effective barrier must be erected".

And in regards to what Romney may,or may not have said in the past...what's past is past.Ditto for what DJT may have said about Romney.

We must all remember that the definition of "diplomacy" is the ability to tell a man to go to hell in such a way as to make him look forward to the trip.

And no...I am not,and never have been,a "never Trumper".

IMO, considering Romney for any position of significance in a Trump administration is an unwise move.

That's certainly possible...but not necessarily true.Now that Trump has won it's possible that Romney has come to accept that and in accepting it he just might be of use to Trump.Of course the Rats (and David Brooks) will *never* accept Trump but that doesn't mean others who once opposed him won't.

Romney indicated last June he would never serve in a Trump Administration, when talking to attendees at his “Experts and Enthusiasts Summit” or “E2” meeting in Utah. The meeting took place at the resort where Romney announced his 2012 campaign for the presidency, according to the Washington Post. “Had there been a President Bush or a President [Marco] Rubio or a President [Scott] Walker, I might’ve been happy to be a part of their administration,” Romney told “hundreds of his donors and business partners,” according to CNN.

Romney is the front man for the Mormon "Mafia" which has significant influence in the FBI and CIA.

Of course, when Lyin' Sleazebag Romney wanted (and received) Trump's endorsement, he only had glowing things to say about Trump.

That One Time When Mitt Romney Praised Donald Trump....

Was Romney lying in 2012, or was he lying in 2016? The man has publicly shown that he has not an ounce of personal integrity.

I don’t excuse but understand how one candidate for President might say intemperate things about another candidate. However, the reason I oppose Romney for SoS is simply because he has never shown a sufficient commitment to liberty and the free market. As nice a fellow as he may be, his RomneyCare destroys liberty and imposes unacceptable socialistic government policy in the private lives of (formerly free) citizens. RomneyCare was used to validate ObamaCare.

A “wall” isn’t going to work - there are bulldozers and ladders in Mexico.

The biggest problem is the first sentence of Amendment XIV:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

That needs to be amended out of the Constitution.

Birthright citizenship may have been appropriate 150 years ago, but it creates millions of problems in the 21st Century - US children with illegal foreign parents.

What I suggest is:

The first sentence of Amendment XIV is hereby repealed.

Every child born in the USA after April 30, 2017 shall be born with the citizenship of their mother as of 10 months prior to giving birth.

No foreigner may be granted US citizenship unless the foreigner is over age 22 and has paid United States federal income tax in excess of the value of one ounce of gold on personal US earnings in each of the prior four years.

[That’s to make it impractical/impossible for Democrats to give a scofflaw mom or her newborn US citizenship.]

[Why use mom’s citizenship? Because we don’t want one male US citizen sperm daddy in search of easy money to create hundreds or even thousands of US children with foreign mothers.]
