Vanity - Need Help With a Campaign Contribution Question

The concept of giving to both sides in an election is well established, in my opinion, and simply gives cover to the donor where they can say “Hey, come on...I supported you in the election”.

You see it all the time. I will say, I sometimes almost feel more contempt for the practitioners of this “foot in each canoe” approach than I do for even donors who fully support liberal causes.

I did say “almost”.

Boy did they support then too. $30 million to 2 candidates. I hope these guys are very philanthropic.

I am going to follow the thread, because I am interested in the Department of Agriculture donations. That is a good question. (The Post Office might be a different beast because it had to figure out what it is...for me, at least.)

But the DOA is a full government agency. What’s with that?

I knew a lawyer that routinely gave generous checks to both sides in judge’s elections. He said he didn’t want to face a judge he hadn’t contributed to.
