President-elect Donald Trump denounced the effort to recount Wisconsin's votes as a "scam" engineered by Green Party candidate Jill Stein, calling on voters to "accept this result and then look to the future."
On Saturday, the campaign of Democratic contender Hillary Clinton said it would back Stein's efforts to take a fresh look at voting results in Wisconsin, a crucial swing state that narrowly backed Trump over Clinton. Stein has been raising millions for more than a week—more than she did for her entire campaign, in fact.
In a statement, however, Trump blasted the effort as a way for Stein to "fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount. All three states were won by large numbers of voters, especially Pennsylvania, which was won by more than 70,000 votes," Trump said.
"This is a scam by the Green Party for an election that has already been conceded, and the results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused, which is exactly what Jill Stein is doing," the president-elect added.
The Clinton team had been quiet about Stein's crusade, but campaign lawyer Marc Elias said that because a recount was set into motion Friday — and could begin as soon as next week — they want to see a "fair" process for all involved.
"Because we had not uncovered any actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology, we had not planned to exercise this option ourselves," Elias wrote in a Medium post explaining the decision, "but now that a recount has been initiated in Wisconsin, we intend to participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides."

In 2011 a full blown, ballot by recount was done in WI for the State Supreme Court. (Act 10 was hanging in the balance). The Dem backed candidate only managed to gain 305. She needed 7,500.

It has been the case that most often IMMEDIATELY after the votes are announced, that the recount is called upon. WHY, do we wait almost 2 weeks to bring up the question of recount. Sometime smells rotten in Copenhagen Denmark.
Soros is pulling the strings but there is NOTHING they can do..Trump won the election even with all the Dem voter fraud he STILL won..get over it snowflakes Trump is our President!

Steven T. Dennis at Bloomberg Politics reports Hillary Clinton’s campaign will join the recount process in battleground states despite admitting they doubt it will change the results of the election.
With the gloves off, Trump should have his DOJ land on her with both feet.
They were quietly working a plan. You can bet they have a plan to break this wide open.
Stay tuned. There will be shocking surprises in store because it’s what they do.
They are not looking for enough votes to change the results...that’s simply absurd and people would not stand for it.
They set up for this back when they started blaming Russia for anything and everything.
They want to get access to the voting machines and lay a claim that the software was hacked...by Russia.
What they want is a do-over of election night in certain states.
Of course this would almost immediately go to the supreme court... that is why we are short one justice (under mysterious circumstances) The court will tie and the lower court rulings will stand.

No other explanation makes any sense at all.
Jill Stein, who got 1% nationally is either doing this as proxy for Clinton, else she is simply trying to cause trouble and undermine the country. What a waste of time and money. Especially as Clinton has already conceded the election. Does Stein think she will gain enough to beat Trump?!
I have to believe it is Clinton supporters who are donating to this cause, as a last ditch effort to change the results.

I think the real purposes are two, dump the blame on Stein to destroy the third party, and hurt Trump’s credibility and approval ratings by calling him a fraud and a monster, people will follow her in that effort.
