There are big headlines in all the major newspapers today about this great news! Oh, no there isn’t.
Time for all those free-loading countries to start paying their share. U.S. tax payers have had enough, it’s now the NATO counties to carry the burden.

Some of the comments by Euro’s at that article are “total disconnect”. They think that being required to spend 55.4%* as much of their GDP as the US does, on defense, is unfair subjugation to some sort of Nazi madman. Others think this is to prop up US arms sales, when in fact, they are absolutely free to produce their own arms. (If they can’t do it, buy from the Ukraine!) They do not even consider, evidently, the US’ role in keeping non-Russian energy supplies and other commerce safely flowing to Europe.
*Strictly speaking, that % will likely drop, as Trump plans to rebuild US defenses. I do hope he injects more efficiency into the effort...
