President-elect Donald Trump tweeted on Tuesday he's "seriously considering" retired neurosurgeon and 2016 presidential candidate Ben Carson to be the secretary of housing and urban development in his administration.
Carson has repeatedly affirmed he is not looking to serve inside a Trump administration. He was previously rumored to be under consideration for secretary of education and secretary of health and human services.
"I am seriously considering Dr. Ben Carson as the head of HUD," Trump wrote. "I've gotten to know him well — he's a greatly talented person who loves people!"
Carson will meet with Trump at Trump Tower on Tuesday, according to MSNBC.
The Hill reported last week that Armstrong Williams, Carson's business manager and close confidant, said Carson wouldn't join the administration and would instead be an unofficial adviser after reports surfaced that Carson rejected an offer to be HHS secretary.

Respectfully, he’s not the right man for HHS. We need a head banging wild eyed monster in that position.

Ben’s a good man and would be a fine addition to the Admin. But he’s also a top notch surgeon and maybe, considering that gift, he might want to stay active in his medical calling instead.
As someone told him that Carson has said he doesn’t want a role in the government? I believe he said he didn’t feel qualified to run a major agency.
He’s a good guy, just lower energy than Jeb

Dr. Carson could be an excellent choice.
Carson has stated that he is through with being a surgeon.
He said in an interview some time ago that he thought it
was his time to leave the field. He lives now in Florida
and flies around giving speeches (before taking part in the
campaign) for money. He lives in a great place in I think
West Palm Beach and doesn't want to return
to the stressful neurosurgery routine.
In other words, he has a nice stress-free prosperous retirement and he
doesn't want a boring nine to five desk job in Washington DC.
Ben probably heard what the salary is. Damn, that’s two surgeries....

My criticism of Carson has always been his failure to challenge Obama’s use of the Bully Pulpit deliberately creating racial strife . Which resulted in at least a score of racially inspired attacks by black gangs leading to deaths .
